That's not necessarily true. It all depends on where you file. I filed at the end of March, and completed the entire process with green card in hand by July 20th. In comparison, many March filers are just now getting their interviews scheduled. Some places just take longer to get to your file!

Fair point, Rangm021. Keeping my fingers crossed! It looks like St. Paul is one of the slowest USCIS centers in the U.S., possibly due in part to our large Somali and Hmong populations who may be adjusting status from other visa categories.

From what I've been gathering from reading the monthly forums, yes, if it's stuck for a long time at that, it's quite possible that you won't need an interview if you're adjusting from a k1. Hopefully it's your case. Best of luck

They mailed to me last Wednesday and i received it this Wednesday. You might get it on Friday.

P-Ana does make an excellent point, however. You mentioned your local office is one of the slowest. While this is inconvenient, it may work in your favor. If the office is extremely backed up, there is also a good chance that the interview can we waved, especially cause you came under K-visa status! All the best luck to you!

Thank you. They just ask the questions that are on the application when you filed, also some random questions like your partners date of birth, what color is your home, how did you meet. It took about 35 mins

Well. No news to report from the updates. Still says fingerprint fee received. But I submitted an inquiry on 8/11. And got a response today. In short it said you are awaiting an interview (duuuuhhhhhh). If you don't receive something from your local office in 90 days call our 800 number. ?

Received RFE yesterday they want a new i693 form completed ? More expense if they didn't take so long to process they wouldn't need me to do a new medical. Hopefully it will be approved once this is sent back to them haha so annoying!

A lot of people from the U.K. Got rfe because of the medical. Try doing a search to see what they did (some had to have new medically and I'm pretty sure other didn't. Also it probably means you'll get to skip the interview

Yeah hoping that I won't have to do the whole thing again so annoying! Thankfully managed to get an appointment next week to do it will let you all know what happens. It's just stupid that we did a medical before leaving for the us and they won't accept it because it's not in the US. I just think they want us to spend as much money as possible >.<

Hello everyone!

Finally hubby got approved this morning!!

It was almost a 30 minute interview, questions mostly are from the I-485. No evidences were asked, only passports, I-94, marriage certificates and my naturalization certificate.

Thanks everyone for the support, and thanks to visa journey - this site saved us a lot of time, energy and money.

Good luck to eveyone still waiting for their approval.

I got a text this morning informing me that my interview has been scheduled for October 31st! Finally!
