We filed March 7th

Update still on "received figerprint fee"

I called USCIS last Friday and they put a servide request on my behalf.

We should get a reply by September 17th about why they are taking longer on my case

Hey Giuliana,

Same here, I submitted the application for my wife who is British in March.

This is what I get from the website. "On March 9, 2016, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485..."

I'm also located in Texas btw.

Hey Giuliana,

Same here, I submitted the application for my wife who is British in March.

This is what I get from the website. "On March 9, 2016, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485..."

I'm also located in Texas btw.

If your field office is San Antonio you should call and ask to talk to tier 2, the lady in tier 2 told me this office is currently working on early March cases and that is why it was proper to submit a service request.

If your wife came with a K1 visa , your case might be just get approved without an interview (that's what I'm hoping for my case too)

We really waited forever and it's about time to get good news from them!

Same field office. We got our interview notice thru text/email last Aug 23 and interview is on Sept 28. You will most likely get yours really soon,since we filed also about the same date as you, or if your adjusting thru K-1, you probably will just receive your GC automatically just like most here.

Just got my interview notice via email. interview is scheduled for october 5!

So we got aproved on the spot, the interview was really short compared to what we waited about 2 hours to be called, the officer was very polite and as i remember he just asked the questions on the form, no big deal!

Good luck to all and see you guys in 2 years for removal of conditions!!

Again, any advice for us? We filed end of March, returned RFE July 8. AP and EAD approved July 18. AOS hasn't been updated since returned RFE. Should we try contacting USCIS or continue impatiently waiting? Does an infopass help speed up the process?

Where are you based? I am in the same position date wise give or take a day or two, it's very frustrating but it really depends where your Field office is, I'm in Seattle, have just passed the six month mark, but within the timeframe.

I hear ya. St Paul is our office. I'm wondering if the RFE put us back to the starting point when we got it sent back in July.

Can only go what my attorney team told me, which was it will add a small amount of time to the process, but nothing significant. I know the USCIS site updates around the 11th of each month in terms of Field offices and where they are at, really hoping for some new information soon.

  • As of October 4, 2016 Still waiting for RFE hardcopy to come in the mail, called USCIS on September 30, 2016 no help.
  • As of November 3, 2016 We received an email in regards to not receiving in the mail the Request for Evidence (RFE) , come to find out they really didn't need any additional information. So now the have to wait another 120 more days before we can get an interview or approval. This is some BS.
  • As of February 7, 2017, We received in the mail Interview Date for AOS on March 20, 2017

We also received an RFE asking for tax documents but we just got a mail and there's no update on USCIS website yet.

Woohoo- we received a notification early this morning that our status has changed. Our interview is scheduled for September 22nd! Now, just to go back and look through what we need to bring with us!

I have my interview on the 22 too. What time do you guys have yours? Mine starts at 8am

3/8/16 Sent application to uscis

3/11/16 USCIS received applications

3/15/16 USCIS sent receipts

3/19/16 Got receipts in the mail

4/2/16 Got my bio appointment notice

4/11/16 Biometric appointment

8/19/16 interview has been scheduled

Ah cool, thanks for the tip. We'll do that as soon as we get back to the US in late September.

She arrived with an L-1 visa, as she works for BP and travels back to London often. I'm the one who is more worried about the delay than her.
