Hi guys,

Just wanted to update you and share the good news. I have received my green card in the mail today!!!! Yay!!!

I had my interview on July 25th and my case was approved last Wednesday due to an RFE for a typed Birth Certificate at our interview. The brith certificate we used for the entire AOS process was hand written which they don't accept from my country. The IO doing the interview told us we were approved but she couldn't update our case status until they received the new birth certificate. We mailed it in and one week later our case status change to"new card produced", "approved" and "card mailed".

Wishing everyone still waiting good luck and speedy GC approvals!!

Hi everyone,

I just received a message from USCIS on the I-485 "New Card is being Produced".

No mention of approval.

Does this mean that the Green Card has been approved and produced?

So cryptic!

Yes, it does mean that the Green Card has been approved. Over the next few days, you'll be receiving messages indicating that your I-485 has been approved. Don't get scared if it switches back and forth, as they tend to do that!

Thought I would post an update on my situation because I was worried that I was very far behind everyone else.

I was adjusting from a K1.. our AOS case was received on March 30th I had biometrics on April 28th (I think? something around that..)

My AOS case status never updated from when it received. No Interview ready to be scheduled or anything. it had said "fingerprint fee received" since March 30th. until yesterday!!! It just updated to "new card in production" and "case approved"!!! I should be receiving my green card in the next couple weeks :)

So for anyone else who hasn't seen any updates at all... it will happen!

Hubby got woken up by a text message this morning at 4:30 am, that there's a change in his case status. His interview is scheduled Sept 28. Funny thing is, we made an infopass appointment and the schedule was also this morning at 7:40 am. We were gonna ask if his interview will be scheduled soon because we have booked a trip to MNL end of September. The interview fell into our scheduled vacation.

Immigration officer told us we can reschedule the interview and that we can make a letter right there and give it to her or we can mail one. We also asked her if there will be a problem going back if he will use AP and she said no, there won't be.

But we decided to just push through with the scheduled interview and push back our vacation. Of course, we have to pay an exorbitant amount of fee to reschedule the flights, but thats ok, as long as he's going to have his GC when we go for that vacation and not just his combo card.

Hubby's Timeline:

January 19, 2013 - Sent I-130

January 23, 2013 - Priority DateJuly 2013 - Approved but ineligible to adjust

March 8, 2016-sent AOS packet ( I-485, I-131, I-765)

March 10 - lockbox received packet

March 17 - notifications received

March 21 - received hardcopies of NOAs

April 1 - received biometrics appointment

April 11 - Biometrics at Buena Park

May 6 - received hardcopy of I-131 approval dated May 2

May 11 - received texts/email - AP Approved, EAD card is being produced (ordered card production April 30)

May 27 - called USCIS tier 2 - service request to reproduce crooked card that was not sent

June 8 - received texts/email/update - EAD card being mailed

June 11 - received EAD/AP combo card

August 23 - Interview is scheduled for Sept. 28

Sept 28 - AOS approved
