Case received since mid March.

I feel like I wouldve been better off renting a post box in Idaho and filing from there

Hahaha i think that was really funny! I was contemplating of moving randomly to Arkansas during my naturalization (took a bloody 8 mos vs 2 mos in Arkansas that time)-- kidding aside, I suggest you call or make info pass, if you havent, or seek other options to follow up on your case if your pertaining to no movement to all the cases submitted (I-130/I-485/I-765). That's a little unusually long.

We applied on June 15th, hopefully SSN comes soon for us!

We applied for the SSN on the 15th as well. Nothing yet. He also went to try to get his driver's license, and they wouldn't renew it. He got a SAVE Case Check number, which says "Case Returned to Agency" for the Department of Public Safety on the same day he applied. Anyone know what that means? And why it doesn't show an update on the SSN?

He called today and they told him that they don't see anything in the system so he would have to wait SIX MORE WEEKS. What?!?!?! Anyone know why this would happen??

Our Timeline:

2/2/09: Met for the first time

10/24/09: First date

4/5/16: Biometrics appointment

4/11/16: Status on USCIS website for I-485 changed to "Ready to be Scheduled for Interview"

5/2/16: Status for AP changed to "Case was Approved" and EAD status changed to "Name was Updated" (don't know why- no name change)

Hi everyone,

Can I apply ssn using my green card instead of EAD? Because I sent back my EAD to USCIS due to misspelled of my name.

Yes, it's even better. They won't put the annotation that says you can only work with dhs authorization.

Good luck

On the phone, they said they are still working on cases from September last year. Do you think info-pass will help?

Was there any movement on EAD/AP for you? If none, I would make an info pass. If there was no movement for I-485, I think info pass wont help, as they are telling you the processing times on the USCIS website. It says as of April 30, they are working on Sept. Have to wait I guess, NYC office seems so busy to me. If they stick to the processing time, March filers will get interviewed around Oct-Nov.

That is weird! SAVE only said case returned for us yesterday June 27. Hopefully it's on the SS database.
