According to the Website for North Dakota DMV it looks like he only needs his EAD and Social security card. It doesnt say you need booth. Why would someone have a green card and an EAD at the same time anyway? I would call someone and check.

http://www.dot.nd.gov/divisions/driverslicense/docs/proof-of-identification-documents.pdf

Perm res card is a green card right? And Authorization to work is an EAD. Am I just reading that list wrong?

Same we are both young to, currently living with the other halfs family. Your pet sounds cooler than mine lol, but I'm scared of lizards so that would never work haha. Im still trying to get use to seeing them every time I step out the door. Its not normal to see lizards running around in the UK so this is new to me being surrounded by them in Florida.. haha

I received my NOA's in the mail yesterday. I had sent a G-1145 but apparently they ignored it, so it was a really nice surprise to receive the hard copies. It still was within the time frame I was expecting to be.

Based on other VJ forums, I came up with this schedule just to know what to expect from this process, and I think it could be beneficial to share with the group. It is nothing official and should not be used against me haha. Some people receive their notifications much earlier but I wanted to "expect the worse and hope for the best". Again, I just observed other months applicants and came up with what would be realistic expectations for myself. In my case, so far the hard copies arrived spot on day 15!

Day 0 - Mail package

Day 3 - Receive package at USCIS Chicago location

Day 10 - e-NOA via text/e-mail

Day 11 - Checks cashed

Day 15 - NOA hard copy via mail

Day 20-30 - Biometrics Appointment Letter via mail

Day 30-40 - Biometrics Appointment

Day 70-90 - EAD/AP Approval

Day 80-90 - EAD/AP card by mail

After that, I found that it varies a lot depending on the local field office...

Somewhere in the future:

- Interview letter by mail with details, documents to bring, date, etc.

- Interview

- GC approval

- GC received by mail

Also, I wanted to thank the people that suggested the app! Thanks to this forum I knew what to do with those numbers. I checked my receipt numbers and they are all accurate on the app. Does anybody know if there is a way to see the history of status changes instead of only see the current status?

I feel so relieved now and will finally start looking and applying for jobs. I can't work yet but a 3-month window should be enough to land a dream job!

Sadly, on the app it will only display the status of your file at present. It's sort of a bare bones type thing.
