Applied march 4th and had biometrics on April 6th. Still stuck on fingerprint fee accepted with no update including an approvals. Bummer. Anyone filling from detroit?

I applied March 10, got interview date on July 21 in Detroit.

Hey, I have just received update that my ead card has been mailed. What is the next step for me after I receive this, so that I can start working?

Get your social security number of you don't have one yet. If you already have it, start applying for jobs, go for interviews.

I received my interview notice on June 16. I applied my EAD on March 28 and got approved June 17, I'm still waiting for physical card.

I had that status since April 4th so it will take awhile, all depends on how busy ur office is, you might just get the green card an no interview

They will have an interview because they're adjusting from a f1. Interview can be waived for k1s

It can take a while and it's unpredictable, unfortunately. Hopefully it will be within 6 months of filing.

It's usually within 10 working days, if nothing's wrong. They give you a letter when you apply, with the timeframe you should expect the card.

ANY TAMPA FILERS -- They are only just getting around to November 2015 cases so anyone who filed in March will still be waiting a good 3-4 months to even get an interview.. Isn't that F****** GREAT. lol.

Anyway, I went to check my credit score and sign up with credit karma - apparently my social number does not match any records? Is there a time frame that I need to wait before my SSN is active? I don't understand.

ALSO, will this affect me trying to get a job? Obviously if they try to search my social, nothing will come up.

I'm concerned that my social says for "valid work purposes only" that I will not be able to apply for any credit cards, phone contracts, ANYTHING in general. Help?

I don't think you'll have any problems. But I only tried giving my number when I opened my bank account and because I'm not a legal resident yet, they didn't want it anyway.

I hope someone chimes in on this subject, it's important for all of us to be on top of things like this.

It usually takes about 4 weeks after receiving the letter for interview,i.e. the interview date is scheduled about 4 weeks after receiving the letter, however getting the letter has been variable for everyone...probably according to the timeline of your local serving office...

For people who apply for EAD and AP, do they always come as a combo? The online status of my EAD changed today. It was approved and the card is being produced, but the AP status has not changed. Is this normal?
