Thank you! That helps. I am still waiting for my new interview appointment after the inital one was canceled.

Most welcome Ana. Our schedule is still on July 14 at 07:55am. goodluck to us. We don't have plans in taking our 3 months old baby with us, according to thr blog birth cert and pictures are more than enough.

Hoping that you'll receive your new appointment soon.

We finally got our RFIE through and its for tax information for the most recent tax year *facepalm*

At least its an easy one, hopefully they hurry up with the EAD after we send it back =/

I finally got my Ead,It was on my mail on Thursday and I didn't even border to check,lol..Please anybody who already applied for social security card Cud u tell me what I need to take along when I wanna apply and also how long does it takes to get the card?? Thanks Everyone

When I went to get my SSN I took my EAD card and my birth certificate that was it. It took about four days to get my SSN card.

I took my passport, EAD, birth certificate and approval notice of EAD. She didn't need my birth certificate and she only took the EAD and passport.

It wasn't a long wait for me but it depends on where you go, I suppose.

So my AOS paperwork has not even been touched since 29th of March.. No interview scheduled, no RFE.. Is anyone in the same boat?

Me? Hasn't been touched since 3/11/16. Yes I know you got the money. It was a lot of money and cleaned out my bank. Grrrrr... Waaa and wtffff!!! Make me happy USCIS. I don't need a miracle. But throw me a bone. Even a we saw that you did yor biometrics. So it's gonna be a while. Just sit back and sit. For awhile. Someday we will get to you. Maybe. If we feel like it. But yup we got all of your stuff not doing anything much with it but that's a beautiful sunrise shot you guys got on your honeymoon.

Our EAD was approved and went to new card is being products on Jun 17th!! I hope we receive the actual card soon! Does anyone know that got their EAD expedited, whether they also approved your AP at the same time? Our status on our I-131 did not change but we know normally they do the EAD/AP combo card. Anyone have any insight on that?

I got the information from the Nevada DMV. So try your state's DMV - if not on the website just hassle them through appropriate channels (email / chat / phone etc.)

If you have a licence from your home country you can hire a car and drive - so makes sense you can use it to legally operate a vehicle. BUT... I think each state has its own rules in terms of how long you can maintain legal status without doing the test and getting the USA licence.

Also - when I was first in the USA with my fiance we just telephoned the insurance company and added me to the insurance - they told us my UK licence was fine - they just put the number in the section that was entitled "international licence"

I never found any clear information on the site so i desided to just go to the place..

Online you have the info that you can drive on a foreign license for a year since entering BUT it also said that once you are a RI resident you have to get a RI license....

So i asked at the place and they said a year since entering usa eventho i got greencard now i can still drive until december (and she also said...if i leave and comeback it gets a reset tho im not rlly sure about that...lol)

Anyways since i was there anyways i was like F it ill give the test a try and passed for my learners permit (with no need of supervision yey)

Now i only have to find a car for the road test...since my husbands car is registerd in mass and not rhode island... such drama!!!

Met around 2011/2012 in a game (league of legends) super random, best friends ever since... grew closer as friends and desided in 2013 to try dating, flew over and we had a click =)

Hey, for those people who are awaiting the SSN review of their status by DHS. you can check it by going to SAVE case status website. https://save.uscis.gov/casecheck/... Enter your Alien Reg. Number, Date of Birth and click check status. It should tell you if its been reviewed and returned.

Super helpful thank you so much! It says 3-5 currently.

I don't know about anyone else, but I found the employees at my SSA office to be completely useless. I was told that there is currently a problem with immigration and they're taking a really long time to verify documents (especially work permits) and that it can take 4-8 weeks. I nearly had a meltdown as I have a job lined up to start on the 5th July with my old company. I know they can push back the start date 1-2 weeks if I need it, but 1-2 months is too much so I'm hoping she just didn't know what she was talking about as after I told her about my start date of 5th July she said, oh you'll probably get it before then, you have a work permit you should get it faster than anyone else -_-...she was also on Instagram on her phone the entire time I was being served so...
