Do you need to get the "valid only for work with..." removed right now??

I would suggest you just do that later. At your leisure. You have the authorisation you need. So why go to the trouble and risk not having your card in your hand?

Get job. Work. Smile.

Change your SSC when you have nothing better to do in a few months time.

I had this same question! So thankful for this forum!

Ty :) and all the rules etc and paperwork are getting to me... I don't know anymore what I MUST do or what I CAN do..

I know I need a new DL

I know I need to file ROC 02/13/18

And filing taxes

I just really wasnt sure if I MUST change my SSC straight away or that I COULD haha

So thanks for clearing it up... I really can barely think straight atm...

New DL is a good idea (however I know my UK licence would have been valid to use here for up to 12 months)

ROC... ha! Yeah - we'll all meet back here in 2 years time I guess.

Taxes... I have been asking around to find a trusted accountant. I do NOT want to get that one wrong.

Your SSC says "valid with DHS authorisation". You now have that authorisation. So I think we can safely say you are good to go!

How do you know that? I have tried to find out all this for ages but i couldnt find any clear information! So i desided to just get the DL again here... would have been nice to be able to rude coming 2 weeks as my husband is on base so if you got some link that is clear where i can find info...i might be still lucky lol

Met around 2011/2012 in a game (league of legends) super random, best friends ever since... grew closer as friends and desided in 2013 to try dating, flew over and we had a click =)

I got the information from the Nevada DMV. So try your state's DMV - if not on the website just hassle them through appropriate channels (email / chat / phone etc.)

If you have a licence from your home country you can hire a car and drive - so makes sense you can use it to legally operate a vehicle. BUT... I think each state has its own rules in terms of how long you can maintain legal status without doing the test and getting the USA licence.

Also - when I was first in the USA with my fiance we just telephoned the insurance company and added me to the insurance - they told us my UK licence was fine - they just put the number in the section that was entitled "international licence"

Hey all

We are applied AOS through marriage in NY i had been done my biometrics print and recently received EAD card.

But my i-485 case did not move at all, it still says "Fingerprint Fee Was Received".

Does anybody have any idea that when we will receive interview notice ?

Can you kindly repost your timeline? We are from NYC too, PD March 9, online update Ready for interview for I-485 on May 12. EAD production May 21 and received June 13.

March 18th,2016: Delivered USCIS Chicago

March 23rd,2016: Received 3 text/email with receipt #

March 24th,2016: checks cashed

Didn't receive NOA hard copy receipts in mail(not a problem,if you receive text or email)

April 8th,2016: received bio metrics for i-485 and i-765

April 14th,2016: Early walk in for bio-metrics Appointment (actual date was 18th april)

May 2nd, 2016: Received RFE for Joint Sponsor

May24th, 2016: Sent RFE back to USCIS

May 27th,2016: RFE received by USCIS

June 3rd, 2016: Request to Expedite EAD

June 6th,2016: EAD Approved

June 15th,2016: EAD received in mail

Thanks. Its a regaular service request, but when i expedite i said i am having a financial hardship and i have job offer. And my EAD got approve with in 2days.

Wow, that's quite a backlog. When do you expect to get GC approved then? We didn't apply for AP so I can't leave the country until I have the GC.
