Seriously hard to believe so many people haven't heard of Strom Thurmond and the southern strategy. There's a reason the south went Republican after the civil rights movement.

Pretty funny that sanders and Clinton supporters approve of slavery at higher rates than Rubio, though isn't it? I mean, for a progressive, supposedly minority loving party I wonder how they found so many who think Lincoln shouldn't have freed the slaves. Those evil white republican's who support Rubio seem to support the end of slavery more than the dems. But then Lincoln was a republican after all so maybe it makes sense.

I don't think the 86.1% approval rate of Rubio's supporters is statistically different from the 85.3% of Clintons. The margin of error for the entire poll is 2%. There were only 128 Rubio supporters included in the poll so the margin of error in that sample is 9%.

If you don't like statistics, we could speculate that perhaps Rubio's numbers look good because Trump has already garnered so much of the support with that demographic. A little math and you could break it down by Democrat vs Republican. No real surprises in the totals if you do it that way..

Actually I was kind of teasing. I do think the poll in general is pretty silly, regardless of its results, but seeing Rubio poll better or at least within margin of error certainly deflates sails.

I understand your point, I guess some people maybe expect Rubio to have a higher percentage of, for lack of a better term, bigoted supporters. A poll that asks people to self identify a bigoted characteristic is inherently flawed anyway. I think the number of people who would identify as bigoted is probably significantly less than the number of people who actually are.

I'm not surprised where Trump supporters ranked because that's the campaign he's been running anyway. I wouldn't really expect a huge difference between any of the other candidates.
