January NOA1 recipients but no NOA2 yet !!

Does anyone actually know how the RFE response work? Like, are you thrown on a a pile and have to wait until they find your petition again? I want to knowwwwwww haha. Tomorrow signs two weeks, sigh. I'm getting a bit inpatient.

I don't know, I thought I read somewhere on an old interview with a adjudicator that those that got RFEs would go on a separate pile... and as the responses came in, in his example, he would work the RFE responses first so as to get the "old pile" out first.

I would take it with a grain of salt though because who knows if that's the process or not nowadays and if all adjudicators work the same.

I'm waiting along with you, my RFE was confirmed received as of 3/28/16. So I'm about a week behind you.

RFE hard copy arrived today . Letter of intent is required for my self( beneficiary) .

Bearing in mind a joint letter of intent was signed by fiancé and I , this was sent with initial petition.

Glad it is an easy fix, will be mailing the letter to fiancé tomorrow( express mail) ?

RFE response was sent back today via piority mail. Praying for our approval . Sending best wishes to those waiting on their approvals too.

We've come to accept the fact that waiting is the only option and patience is the only best approval that's keeping us strong and sane. We're greatly encouraged by every news of approval and even though it's not us but happy for others as well. Jan 14th for NOA1 is way back then but order is not what USCIS goes by. We're still within the 5-months processing time frame and that's all what matters at this time. Hey, keep us in your prayers and encourage when you can.

Whenever I see people getting approved so fast after RFE's or their NOA1's - it really kinda depresses me. 2,5 week right now, and i don't know what is taking them so long. It sucks to know that I know someone who was less prepared than us, less evidence, no data page, just a few texts and photos and that's it and he got approved a week before me. Really trying to stay strong in this one, but I'm afraid lol.

No worries, if you know your packet was well prepared and you responded to the RFE with what they asked for - you should be golden. There's no rhyme or reason to how they do things at USCIS and their procedures could be country-specific, or not. Stay strong and positive and try not to think about it too much. You should be fine!

Thanks guys! It's pretty stressful for everyone. They might be country specific, I guess we will never know how their system work. We did everything they wanted, and we attached the biographical data page behind the blue letter. Some said we should have written an extra letter with it, or paperclip it together but we just put it behind the letter and send it back. We forgot to check question 33 and the data page, and we did as told by the letter. I hope this week will be approval week.. so stressed in my mind about what we could have done wrong that I knocked over 19 gallons of wallpaint at work. I'm a special kind of stupid while stressed lol

It's not country specific. You could have ended at someones disk there took vacation last week or the week before, when they look at the applications they put those aside with RFE and so on and send that out and wait for the respons. So yes hopefully this week.
