Hi everyone, we receive an email from U.S embassy requiring us to bring additional document to our interview. It is i-864a for the wife of the joint sponsor. My question is do we still need to bring a photocopy of her tax return and w2? (She is not the joint sponsor only her husband). The problem is they still dont have the tax return for 2015.

Here is the email that they sent us. Thank You everyone

It is a personal choice, but along with the above requested documentation/evidence, I would also take alone with me a copy of the entire petition and its supporting documentation and evidence. This is for just in case you get asked for other documentation/evidence during the interview you will have it with you.

Best of luck!

tax statements for 2015 are not required yet, because taxes don't need to be filed yet. The husband might be the joint sponsor, but because he is married and filed taxes with his spouse, his spouse also becomes a joint sponsor.
