The Camera Givith, the Camera Taketh Away...

There will always be incidents like this that will back up whatever agenda flips you bonnet, I care more about stats and trends and why they are trending the way they are...

Having said that I can't wait until we can each have a small personal drone hovering above us 24/7 and recording every aspect of our day.. I'm naming mine cursor like the little one that followed Tron around.

Mark my words, Drones are the next scourge of America.

Drone use will end up pulling the life-support plug on the Fourth Amendment once and for all.

I don't think drones will be needed. Already the combination of phones, license plate readers, centralized video systems, all of that together will completely guarantee that any time you leave your house you are being tracked. Once we get facial recognition more mature, it will be like minority report. You'll see all kinds of criminals caught almost immediately. It will essentially evaporate all minor crimes. You'll still have raging homicides by people who do not care about being caught.

Good luck!

That's bad news for all of those folks who will be put out of work by automation. :P

At least until someone comes up with a $15 dongle that can take down a drone.

I hear you can get imitation dongles on the black market for under $10.

Human nature being what it is, all they have to do is have drones come with facebook, pandora and NFL mobile pre-installed, and people will be signing up and paying for 2 year contracts just to have one.

The new Atlas robot has been making waves recently..

So while I am glad the US finally has a robot that walks on two legs and doesn't have a lawn mover engine strapped to its back to make power - I'm not sure why people are going full ape about a robot that can open a door if you tape a giant 3D tag with the doors information - Though I was impressed with it trying to pick up the box that the mean Canadian was hitting with a hockey stick.

Still.. Not quite there yet unless you are a door opener that also stocks 1 foot by 1 foot boxes that weigh exacty10 pounds.. IN which case you can get a full time job printing up and sticking all the 3D tags this thing needs.

It was legal to carry the gun as he did. It's also legal to ask people questions. It's not legal, when asked a question, to assault a person. And it's a bad idea to do so when that person who legally asked you a question also is legally carrying a gun, because they might just legally kill you. And that's what happened.

Actually he was not supposed to be carrying a gun while acting as a neighborhood watch officer. I think it's been repeatedly asked but why do you think TM had no right to defend himself from the creepy old man following him at night?
