UAlbany students who faked racist bus attack to be charged

• Three black students claimed they were attacked on a city bus by several white students.

• Security footage showed that the incident actually occurred in the opposite manner that the students initially claimed.

• The self-proclaimed “victims” of a racist bus attack will be charged for faking the incident after police have reviewed video evidence from the bus.

  The January 30 incident caused such an uproar that Hillary Clinton even got involved, tweeting, “There’s no excuse for racism and violence on a college campus.”

  According to initial reports, three black University of Albany students said they were assaulted by several white students, complete with racial slurs, while riding a city bus.

  Massive backlash ensued and a rally was held in support of the three black students. One student even dropped out because of their alleged involvement in the incident.

  The UAlbany president released an initial statement on the incident, saying “I ask all of us to not rush to judgment. We need to know all of the facts. We must get this right. This is a good opportunity for all members of the University to teach each other and to learn from each other. Let us engage even more deeply. Let us listen even more carefully. And let us see each other even more clearly.”

  After reviewing the security footage from cameras located inside the bus, police determined that it was not the white students who attacked the three black students, but the other way around.

  According to a source at local news station News 10 who reviewed the video, “It was one of the three young women who threw the first punch, and that at no time did any passengers hurl racial slurs as first claimed.”

  Additionally, “It was one of the accusers who used a slur against a white passenger and called her a nasty name.”

  News 10 also said that, according to intimate sources, the three students are to receive tickets and will appear in court. The exact charges are not known yet and the release of the bus videos are at the mercy of the court.

  UAlbany has yet to make it clear if these students will receive any academic repercussions for their actions.

The blm movement, itself born on a lie, has been absolutely terrible for race relations. This is why you have an example of blacks accusing whites of doing something they didn't, there is absolutely no evidence (surely somebody realized the bus has a camera early on?!) it happened, and political opportunists like clinton are tweeting their ####### immediately jumping to the conclusion it really did happen. Reminds me of obama and his trayvon would look like his son nonsense.

Treyvon Martin should not have been shot. I know that your gun toting, panty waste hero somehow managed to get away with it, but it really is that simple. Bringing it up then slamming the Black Lives Matter movement is a bit of a tell. You don't really know how to not view Black people in a non-prejudiced way so your solution is to project your own prejudice on to them.

Yes indeed some Black people hate White people for being White, but the numbers go to the White people who can't stand Black people.

The evidence points to trayvon assaulting somebody. He picked the wrong person, it was that simple. Witnesses said the same, and the court agreed, hence a legitimate acquittal that all reasonable people thought would happen.

Nonetheless, what the trayvon case did was rip off a layer of racism that I didn't truly appreciate among some blacks. I didn't realize until then, and since affirmed many times, that when a non-black person shoots a black person the default presumption is that they did it because they hate blacks. It happened with trayvon (zimmerman is a cretin to be sure, but had no history lending itself to wanting to kill or hurt black people), it happened with michael brown as well.

It was legal to carry the gun as he did. It's also legal to ask people questions. It's not legal, when asked a question, to assault a person. And it's a bad idea to do so when that person who legally asked you a question also is legally carrying a gun, because they might just legally kill you. And that's what happened.

Maybe. And if that happened it would be racist: convicting him for defending himself when attacked.

Do you know what happened when this black guy confronted some unarmed white teens and shot one of them to death? He got acquitted. And lots of people said good for him.

i don't find that incident comparable. trayvon was not doing anything illegal when he was confronted by his killer.
