UTI concern and St Luke's

My fiancee has been having urinary tract infections and she's worried when the time comes for her to go to St Lukes, that might be a problem for them. She doesn't want anything to stop our visa process. She hasn't followed the dietary instructions the doctor gave her because the doctor said no Coke and no chocolate, but she likes both. And she can't afford the medicine and is usually too ashamed to tell me about it. I'm hoping she does it right this time, and I am paying for the medicine. But the question is, if she has a UTI when she goes to St Lukes, will that be a problem?

She asked me to ask you folks.

I would guess with an extreme level of certainty that no, this will not be an issue.

If she has been diagnosed with recurrent UTI's and has seen a specialist such as a urologist for it (meaning an actual condition of recurrent UTI's, not just several separate diagnoses) then she may want to think about mentioning it on her medical form in case they feel like asking her about it, but I can not imagine any way that it would impact her visa.

Recurrent UTI's, while seriously the most excruciatingly obnoxious things ever, are non-communicable, non life-threatening, and do not pose and serious risk to either her or anyone she comes in contact with.

Tell her to drink more water, take more showers as opposed to baths, and relax as it will not be a big deal for the medical.

Thank you both. I didn't think it would be a problem and told her, but I wasn't certain and she's worried, so I said I would ask for her. I'll let her know. Salamat po.

The answer is obvious; stop drinking coke and eating chocolate, then take ALL the medical as prescribed, do NOT stop taking the medication early as this can cause even more issue (like a resistant strain of the bug)

The infection should not be an issue with the medical, for sure bring documentation and the prescription from the other doctor.
