My POE was LAX, destination RDU. I went to the visitor's line and gave the officer my brown envelope, I was carrying the x-ray film as well, but they didn't ask for it. Honestly I didn't see the need to handcarry it but I was advised to anyway, so I did. The officer took the bron envelope, asked me a few questions, took my fingerprint/photo, and that was it. I then had to get my luggage, dropped it off to the DL baggage check-in and waited for my next connecting flight to ATL then to RDU.

All in all the trip took about 28 hours including lay overs, but I made it!

Good luck to your honee!

Stewart's POE was LAx. He had the brown envelope in his hand, and his xrays close by in his carry on. He got in the line like he normally would, and a worker there saw his brown envelope and took him aside. The whole thing took maybe 20 minutes..not long at all. He said they were nice and it was no problem :)

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

My POE is LAX and destination RDU too, my connecting flight is a delta airline direct flight to RDU (6 hours)... I would just like to ask if a 3-hr layover enough for me to go through immigration and getting my luggage and checking them in at DL baggage check-in?
