Applying for EAD process at POE

I wanted to see if anyone had that experience of applying for the EAD at the POE. I know and understand it's paying extra.

You might be able to get it within 70 days, but then it takes about a week to get the actual card. If you go this route, this EAD is NOT extendable. So if you do, apply for AOS right away. So that way, you might be able to get the second one approved before the first one expires. But then RFE could throw a wrench in things too.

Given it will likely expire before you receive it, and you pay $380 for the privilege, it's generally considered pointless to apply for.

I was not aware that you could file for an EAD at your POE. You would still have to file the I-765 with the USCIS and pay the form fee, if you wanted to get the EAD based on the K-1 entry, cat (a )(6 ). It will be a waste of money though. You should file for the EAD with your AOS application, cat (c )(9 ). That way the fee for the form is waived, the EAD will last a year and not only the 90 day length of your I-94, and it will be renewable, also for free.
