My husband has taken full time hours so been offered health insurance for himself fairly cheaply but to add myself would be $89 a pay period. As he's paid weekly, I guess its safe to say $89 a week.

I've looked on the health.gov site and followed the special exceptions through (as we have been married within 60 days - I'm at stage of awaiting biometrics apt) and if I include us both but say husband has work placed insurance, but i don't (as I can't work yet) then the site seems to offer me cheapest option on $69 a month

My question is, am I able to go with the gov option for myself as this is cheaper. Or when they ask the question do I have workplace insurance, do I technically need to answer yes, as although I don't work, I am allowed to be included on my husbands insurance?

You do not have work place insurance (you could, but you don;t right now), so you can choose that option.

I'm covered by my husband's healthcare. It's perfectly acceptable but sometimes it's cheaper with better coverage to do it separately.
