Working in the U.S. when waiting for EAD?

Does the same hold true for visits to the US during the K1 waiting process? Would his income need to be paused during visits as well? JFH mentioned something about holiday being okay. And I'm not sure how they think they can regulate this for people who don't plan on immigrating to the US. Does that mean bloggers who make an income worldwide and travel the world all the time are violating laws right and left?

The blogger, for example, is a resident of another country, lives and works there, pay taxes there and travels as a tourist to the US. That's different to someone who enters the US and takes up an physical job in the US for a US employer. And of course the US government can decide what a visitor can and cannot do on US soil. If you're coming on a tourist visa or the VWP, it says that you cannot work in the US. If someone wants to work in the US, they need a visa for that specific purpose.

Question about this. My fiance is currently doing some developing/programming with a friend of his in Belgium, with the hope that they'll be able to sell the project in the future. Obviously nothing may come of this, but once he moves to the US is he still allowed to work on it in the meantime if he's not getting paid for it?

That is still work.. What if an income comes out of it before your fiance gets EAD card? If that income is reported to IRS , you see where you could be in trouble?

He's not getting paid while working. if he makes any money from it, it will be when he sells the project. It might be a problem if he sold the project before his EAD, but otherwise? Nope.

Lot of misinformation, but that is normal for this discussion.

Quite what is kosher depends on your status, and obviously millions are here working illegally with no major issues, it is when you push it to far it becomes an issue, ie IT companies warehousing staff brought over for 6 months on B visas.
