2007: Speaking at Selma's First Baptist Church on the 42nd anniversary of the "Bloody Sunday" freedom march there, Sen. Clinton declared: "As a young girl (age 16), I had the great privilege of hearing Dr. King speak in Chicago. The year was 1963. My youth minister from our church took a few of us down on a cold January night to hear (King). ... And he called on us, he challenged us that evening to stay awake during the great revolution that the civil rights pioneers were waging on behalf of a more perfect union."

This is something she said in 2007. In 2007, she said she supported Dr. King in 1963. Clearly, that can't have been the case seeing how she was a "Goldwater girl" in 1964. She pandered and got caught telling a lie. The lie was in 2007.

I don't think that being a Goldwater girl necessarily precludes her from having been a King supporter.

The Clintons were never liberal. I never understood that label for them. Liberals refer to Clinton as the best repulican president we have had in a long time. And when a candidate is running for president, it is the norm to move towards the middle ground.
