My wife and I married in Nebraska. Promptly left Nebraska as I am a Military Contractor that took a job in S. Korea. We have not yet registered our marriage with the NSO. So, my question is this......

As we are in South Korea, my wife is taking a month long trip to see her family. Can she report the marriage directly to the NSO in the Philippines or do we still need to mail everything to Chicago?

Nope. Have to report the marriage through the consulate that represents the state you were married in. ROM can be completed by mail.

Go to the Chicago Philippine Consulate website and print off the needed information/form. Complete the form, include the required substantiating documents and slip them into an envelope and send it back to the Consulate in Chicago. They will process and in about 4-6 weeks you will get your reply that it has been registered. Good luck.,

Accepted March 19, 2014 Text message with receipt numbers

EAD May 23, 2014 Employment Authorization Document approved and went to card production

TD May 23, 2014 Travel Document approved and went for card production
