Actually, they are facts. As a black man who lives with and deals with this on a daily basis, I can say 100% without a doubt what she is saying is true. Why? Because I was just like you and thought the same thing.

Before I married the young lady you're talking to, we were good friends. We used to argue about this same subject. She would go on about how as a black women, there were things she just couldn't do that white/foreign women could do. I told her she was crazy, it's not that bad. That was until I saw it with my own eyes. I've talked to black men who have impossible standards for a black woman. On a scale of 1 to 10, she has to be a 15(but the men are 4 or five on their best day). They have to make at least 50,000 a year if they even have one child and that child can't live with them(but they can have multiple kids with multiple mothers and not make the same amount of money but this is acceptable). She has to have several degrees and be classically trained in whatever she does(but the men just have diplomas and act "hood"). She has to be independent financially, meaning he won't be obligated to support her in any way(but he wants her to submit to him completely). She has to be feminine enough to embody the traditional role of house wife while simultaneously be masculine enough to pay for the man's meal on the first date and work to make money to support the both of them(oxymoron). This isn't hyperbole, this is word for word what these black men have stated what they want in a black woman. Now let's look at the standards for white/foreign women.

They can have kids, they can stay at home, they're not asked to pay for a thing, and on top of that, they don't have to be attractive at all. I'm talking Jabba the hut here, and this is considered better that a decent black woman.

As for your last comment, black women are dealing with issues that don't exist in any other race. Period. No other women on earth are disrespected like black women. No women on earth are loathed more than black women by their own men. Want to debate it? I'll go first. Find me a race of people that make songs and demean their women like rappers do. Even in places where women are 3 class citizens and sexual slavery is legal, you will never see videos that go mainstream that demean their women. I'll wait.

She isn't applying a subset, she's pointing out something people try to ignore. Unfortunately, it's like the Matrix, once you're unplugged, you can't go back.

I am not even sure where to start. We seem to be going in circle here. Your significant other earlier posted a flawed article about why black women are the ugliest, I refuted that. Since when this turns into the struggles of black women? You keep moving the goal post, time to stop playing.

And by the same token most women say men are difficult to deal with. They wrote a book about the obvious. It's called men are from Mars women are from venus.

But it's convenient to hang a sexist or racist label on anything that does not fit in your box.

Open your mind like I have

still hanging on to your misunderstanding huh?

Yes it was definitely a stereotype

Well its a shame black men treat black women so badly. I wonder if that is somehow white people's fault also

Not too hard to figure out. White people as a whole spent over 400 years telling anyone who would listen that black people are inferior in every way. And have made the white women the platinum standard in terms of beauty. Even in a country such as Japan, whose love for their countrymen is unmatched, they regard white women prettier than their own, that should tell you something.

Add to that the forbidden fruit factor(Emmett Till comes to mind) and it's a perfect storm.

I am not even sure where to start. We seem to be going in circle here. Your significant other earlier posted a flawed article about why black women are the ugliest, I refuted that. Since when this turns into the struggles of black women? You keep moving the goal post, time to stop playing.

Don't worry, I'll help you out. We're not moving in circles. You made a claim that Janelle was wrong, I came in and provided ample proof she wasn't. You said black women are difficult, I said why they are and laid out the details. Black women are considered less attractive on a global scale. This is a well known fact. I've said it years on this very site before Janelle even stepped foot in here. Even your article plainly stated that black men and women get less hits than any other race. You don't need Google to figure it out.

Many famous black men have stated publicly their disdain for black women. Wesley Snipes, Terrence Howard, Ice T went and made a top ten list of why white women are better than black women(even though his white wife cheated on him with a black rapper, I guess we reap what we sow). Google how many white actors have flat out said they don't date white women. Even the ones who marry Asians don't bash white women.

I'm not moving the goal post, I'm making sure that my touchdown can't be disputed. You can replay it all day long and it won't change. Being black, I have no margin for error when it comes to the trials and tribulations of my own people. But I understand your replies. It's like a perception filter when it comes to our issues, we see them, but we really don't want to know they're there.

I'm just grossed out by the fallacy that the worth of a woman -- whatever her race or ethnicity -- is based in her appearance. It's BS. If a person is a garbage person, they are a horrible human being irrespective of their appearance.

I am a mostly white woman who has benefitted from being fairly conventionally attractive. I'm not hot -- never have been -- and I'm now an Old, but I guess I'm still cute because randos remark on it. What I look like says pretty much nothing about who I am as a person, except for the fact that I'm short, and being short has probably influenced the way I look at the world, literally and figuratively. My worth is in my character, and I try to live a moral life, or at least the kind of life that I don't feel embarrassed about. I'm almost unfailingly kind to people. I have a great relationship with my parents. I love and respect my boyfriend, and do whatever I can to be a supportive partner. I'm always there for my friends. I'm even friends with several of my exes where there was a friendship to salvage. But I'm also comfortable in my skin now and I'm able to push back when I feel people are trying to take advantage of me, because now that I'm an old IDGAF. :) I think all of this says more about me than how I look.

Now who wants a sandwich? :D

I'll take a turkey on rye please and thank you!

But in this case, we're talking about race determining a person's worth. Which is equally disgusting.

In the 80's and early 90's there was a HUGE outcry against metal that went all through the court systems - people tried to get it banned. It was a REALLY big deal and a huge turning point in the history of American music. Those "explicit content" labels? A result of the metal controversy...

People were blaming metal for suicides, murders, robberies, muggings, etc., just like they do with rap. Nevermind that maybe it's not the music that's making people do it... it's just the music is following the current social trends *cringe*.

Even still people refer to metal as "devil music." Marilyn Manson got blamed for EVERYTHING bad that happened with the youth of America from 1997-2001.

The reason you hear more negative press about rap is simply because it's more popular.

But heavy metal never defines whiteness!!

it wasn't just metal. specifically 2 live crew were a big part of gore's witch hunt.

but what does this have to do with the op?

i'm trying to figure out where there's even a point to argue. there are black men that refuse to date black women. i think we're just pointing out that shallow people generally don't treat others well. any person who picks a potential date based on race first and foremost, is an idiot. anyone who makes decisions in life based on racial stereotypes, is an idiot.
