Since for us the answer to this question will not fit in the small box there so have to attach the supplment.

My question is that this needs to be in letter format with usual letter heards like

Date

To <>

Dear Sir/Madam

...

...

Sincerely

or

does it just need to be simple plain text on the paper?

or does it not matter really - anything is fine?

I would think it really does not matter. Just stick to the facts , and don't give some big long discription of what y'all were wearing and at what time. I think they prefere something short, sweet, and to the point, IMO.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

We put a brief summary and the text "See attached "I-129F Supplement: Part B, Question 18: Has your Fiancé(e) met and seen you" - which is what we titled the attached sheet as well.

The attachment we just made a simple text of our meeting. Can be any format you like I imagine, but as long as they can read it.

If you need additional space - read the I-129F instructions. Write "See attached" in the box and on the attachment clearly label the questions (#18, part B, whatever), and make sure you SIGN AND DATE at the top of the page! They are specific in asking for that - so make sure you comply!

(p.s. you find that instruction in 2.B on the I-129F instruction pages)

We put a bold title: I129F QUESTION 18 Part B Supplement from Petitionary

and His had (from Beneficiary)

You don't NEED to do this, but Omer sent two copies- one in Turkish and one in English which he had notarized and certified translated.

My statement was on one page describing concisely, how when and where we met, and when and where we visited. I followed up by describing my second visit. He was a bit more verbose, and ran a page and a half.

You mention "sign on the top".......I was thinking the usual convention is to date and sign at the bottom.

My answer is 2 page long and I have numbered the pages and am signing and dating the answer on the second page only at the end of the story.

Do you guys think..signing at the end is not the way to go?

I signed at the end of the first page, as it was in letter format. I typed the date in the heading, and also handwrote it in next to my signature.

Omer signed each of his 2 pages (4 in total- as 2 were in Turkish), and had each page stamped and notarized.

But- we were probably too cautious.

I think the advantage of signing at the top- is that it makes it much easier for the reviewer to see.

Good Luck!

I signed and dated every shred of paper, every shred of documents, photographs, every shred of evidence, every shred of every shred........all at the bottom . I'm not worried in the least that my date and signature appears at the bottom, as long as it's there.

I'm not sure if this option is available with adobe reader, but with Adobe Professional you can choose Edit > Preferences > Forms > and remove the checkmark from "Show text field overflow indicator" .. if you have any problems you can email me at dad@fiddlers.us

If you are the petitioner, the beneficiary is not required to answer question 18.
