Okay so the past few days has been our 30 day mark from the day we received an email from the NVC stating that they received our mail and to allow 30 days bla bla bla

So...... Called NVC to ask the status of our case. The guy said nothing it's not complete yet and it can take up to 45days to review. So I then asked is anyone actually looking at my case and he replied yes I'm sure they are. So the next day I called again and asked for the status of our case and once again I got the same guy who was very rude and said I spoke to you yesterday and told you it can take up to 45 days and said bye and disconnected the call. So..... I called straight back and got through to another lady who was a much use as a chocolate fire guard. She said the same info but said she wasn't sure if our case was being looked at or not and just said it could be reviewed any day now.

So my question is..... The NVC emailed me telling me originally to allow 30days for the review. Online everything says paid for and complete but document parts both say n/a

Is there anyone at the NVC that we can reach to get some information that is accurate and true about our case without having our case being put under supervisor review.

I'm getting to the point where I'm going to blow up on the phone ?

Anyone have any advise that would help us out other than telling me not to blow up on the phone.

I feel like I'm dealing with Walmart customer service department I swear.

are you following/participating in an NVC Monthly Thread? Yes? No? If No, Why No?

you've raised some great questions, all covered in each NVC Monthly Thread Topic [there's 1 per month]

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Have you talked to a supervisor. The agent you get on initial call can only give you what they have available on their computers. Which is little. Call and nicely ask to speak to tier 2 supervisor. They have access to more info.

The NVC reps on the phone can only tell you what's on the computer screen, which is basically nothing.

If you've just recently hit the 30 day mark, I'd give them a few more days. If you're not careful, they might put you on supervisor review and that's a real lottery. You could be days away from case complete, if you're put on supervisor review, the clock starts over with 45 days. Don't loose patience when you could be just on the finish line, give them till Monday is my advice. And that's coming from someone who was stuck 8 MONTHS at NVC, four of them being stuck at supervisor review.

I had the same thing happen with me. The NVC received my DS-260 and I864's and I got a letter stating 30 days to review my case.

On day 31 I called and the NVC operator apologized and said it's actually taking closer to 45 days now.

On day 45 I called the NVC and they told me they completed my case [38 days]. So good news.

If the NVC operator is saying 45 days, then it can take up to 45 days. Hang in there.

Where do I find this thread?

Also we submitted the AOS package first and I completed the online question thing last week as I waited to complete as it asked for the last 5 visit dates to the states and I had one coming up at that time so I decided to wait until I was back to complete it. That was completed a week ago. Would that make a different as the NVC havnt said that would cause any delays.

Was it a check list item? If they have a request because something was missing, then that can extend processing.

For reference, you have a chance to update any changes to your information during your interview.

No we haven't had any check list this was the online ds form thing that basically asked the same biological questions we have answered when at the USCIS like info about the beneficiary
