that's kinda scary. i mean i have heard that when interview letters are sent out, usually no touches appear online, so how would one know if the interview letter was sent out and there was a mixup in the mail???

Exactly. We did NOT get touched when the interview was scheduled and they DID send the interview letter to the wrong address (even after assuring us in person that they had the correct address on file). Fortunately, I filed for both my wife and stepson so we got two letters. One of them did show up at the right address.

btw, i still have not received my interview letter yet, even though people that filed after me with offices that have similar processing times as mine already received theirs and some already had their interview.

but in all honestly, it makes it a lot easier on me that i received my EAD or else i would have gone crazy

Not only did we see people getting interviews who filed long after us but the processing dates they publish on the website were long after us.

If you filled your tinmeline in, it might help others like you as well.

I actually tried several times filling in my timeline but it would never letting me saying that i need to fill in some data for a "visa data section" and it would not let me submit my entires for the EAD or AOS without entering that information. and i do not want to make up any data so that i do not mess up the statistics.

as for the link you have provided, i have looked at it numerous times, and as you can see, there are recent timelines on only 5 people and 4 of them were transfered to CSC so that does not help me

thank you for your help though

not all December filers have gotten interview notices! If it makes you feel better my 485 hasn't been touched in almost 2 months too! I checked my local office timeline to see about how long it might take (8 months for DC filers! yikes). From that I have estimated an approximate interview notice date and will resume panicking then! 'till then, like you, I am glad I have my EAD, although I did not file for AP- may have to if I want to go to home this summer.

My wife filed for AOS in October and Just yesterday she received the notice for the interview on May 16. This is about 10days more than 7 months! !

Devereux

Be glad you were not filing during 2005 when it was taking 6 months + to get an interview and that was if you were lucky.... I waited 183 days and that was fast....

Hope you hear soon

maybe it is true that nowadays they do not schedule interviews until the FBI namecheck is complete. this is the only thing that would make sense for your case to take 7 month

If all goes well, we'll be at 26 months.

At least you'll get a 10-year greencard then. By falling one month short we now have to do the other fiasco of lifting conditions next year. I'm really looking forward to that.

Oh yes, definitely. I was thinking about that yesterday. If we had gotten the mail for the original appointment, the interview would have been 14 days before our 2nd anniversary.
