I have a question about the interview - and about a joint sponsor.

...about the interview - evidence - I wasn't able to add my husband to my bank account because he has to sign papers...I did find that I can add him as an "authorized user" on one of my credit cards & he can have a card in his name - is this good, as long as I show doucments with both our names on the account?

...The second part... I have a friend who is willing to be a joint sponsor if we need it.... I make enough money in a full working year to be his sponsor (with the other "dependents" I have to claim, even though they don't live with me - I have proof that they don't). The reason we were thinking to have one is, I haven't made enough on my 2013, 2014 tax years (wasn't working - staying home w/my son & only part time/on call work in 2014) ....in 2015 I was shy of the requirement by $700 as of my mid-December paycheck.. but if you add the hours I worked the last half of december 2015 (pay that came on my jan 5th 2016 paycheck), I would have been over the requirement by more than $1,000.

~So...I know NVC asks for the most recent tax year - I had sent in my 2014 taxes, because we submitted the documents in November 2015. Also, my paycheck stubs for the last three months - which showed at the current pay (that started about August/sept 2014) that I make well over the poverty guidinlines for my requirement. ....soo...

Do they still need the last three years? Or bring only 2014, because I was submitted to the NVC and 2015 because the tax year passed?

Also - because my financial situation changed since Aug/sept of last year for the better - though not at the full tax year...will they still require a joint sponsor?

...my friend is willing to do the papers early, so my husband can have them during the interview... Is he able to turn them in at the interview if they say we still need a joint sponsor?

Thanks in advance!

Sponsorship is not based on what your taxes say, it is based on your current yearly income. How much you should make in a year. So if in 2015 for the whole year (Jan 1 to Dec 31) you made enough to sponsor, that should be fine without a joint sponsor. However some embassies like to see several years over so it is not a bad idea to have the joint sponsor lined up if you are close.

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.  - Dr. Seuss
