Claude Lorius of France led the Antarctic team that reported on the first long Antarctic ice core in 1985. They shared the Tyler Prize--the environmental version of the Nobel--in 1996.

What you did post was a list that you copied from some non scientific research referencing scientists who's name is attached to cited work.

I do not need to explain the difference between citing and supporting a conclusion. We learned that in 6th grade when we made a bibliography for our first paper. Referencing Steven Hawking in my High School Chemistry homework does not make him accountable or endorsing of my conclusions.

I am sure you personally believe that the natural geo and cosmological cycles are greater forces than the current phenom occurring over the last 100 years. Where I live was covered by a mile of ice not more than 12,000 years ago and ages before that it was a tropical paradise. Those cycles are real.

What is also real is that carbon released into the atmosphere by industry and consumers raises the PPM of carbon in the atmosphere and ocean which has measurable and consequential affects on our planet. That is a fact backed by overwhelming research and data by "real" science. That cycle is by far outstripping any other natural cycle.

Public opinion is trailing scientific understanding on this topic as it does on many topics. What is different about climate change than say evolution or the rotation of the planets around the sun is what is at stake. Society needs to plan, prepare and invest or needless suffering and lost opportunity will occur.

I doubt very much that I will change your mind and several pages ago we lost everyone else, but the facts are the facts.

Logic then would seem to state that we should kill all human beings in order to Save The Planet.

Oh don't worry, the planet doesn't need saving from humans. We are but a minor blip/infestation which will resolve itself by self extermination. This Planet we call Earth will be here a long long, long time after we are gone, in some form or other.

It would be better for our survival if we understood our effects on our home and did some to preserve it.

Even for those who deny what we are doing and are of a Christian bent, take heed from your holy book.

One side of Taiwan is rising, the other is sinking. So the measured sea levels are falling on one side and rising on the other.

This was noted to make a point that land mass is continuously moving, which changes the accuracy of measurement when estimating sea level based on moving shorelines.
