How does it work with voting, will I be able to vote via post or proxy for the EU referendum in June (will have applied for AOS at that point)

At what point do you become inelligable to vote in the UK and able to vote in the US ?

If you wish to vote in federal elections in the US however, you must become a US Citizen. However, as just an LPR you may be eligible to vote in local town or city matters, and some state matters as well. Those requirements vary.

Becoming a US Citizen does not prevent you from voting in a UK election, as you will always be a British Citizen.

The US doesn't recognize dual citizenship in that, once you become a citizen it considers you a citizen of the US. However, that doesn't prevent you from being a dual citizen. They do not force you to give up a citizenship of another country, and neither does the UK. There are many dual citizens so that's nothing to worry about.
