Medical exam expiration - 3 months or 6?

We had our medical exam on 11/30 and are flying from BKK to JFK 3/15 (exam was at BNH in Bangkok). Our lawyer said our medical expires in 90 days and to get a new one. The doctor told us today it expires in 6 months and that they cannot give a new one nor would it help if they did. Dr said the sealed envelope isn't given to the applicant, it's only sent to the embassy.

I'm afraid CBP will say our exam is expired and won't let us in (I'm extra cautious because we've been sent back once before for a different reason). The doctor said the form will indicate it expires in 6 months.

When does the medical exam expire?

What can we do if CBP refuses to accept our exam?

Long as you enter US by May 30th, 2016 you are fine. Medical and Visa not always go hand in hand. Many have had medical expire before they try to enter, thus getting a new medical.

You are fine with the date you selected. And of course your Visa also expires around the expiry of medical. So you are good to go.

No this is about K1's entering and Adjusting status. Their medical is good for a year. If they tried to adjust status a year after medical they would need a new medical.

What the OP is asking about is entering the US you have 6 months from medical (give or take a few days in some cases) or you need a new one.

Your medical is good for a year. You filed before a year. No issue.

And You aren't chasing a IR route no Visa is required for adjusting you are already here. If married over 2 years you will receive 10 year Green card.
