Just a quick question on the fees we have to payfor the whole AOS/EAD thing,

do you put seperate cheques for each form, ie one for AOS, one for EAD and one for biometrics, and is it just one 70 dollar fee for the biometrics that we send, because it asks for it twice in both the AOS and EAD?

the next question is can we use a personal cheque or do we have to get a bankers draft or money order, similar to what we had to do for the visa at the embassy?

Thanks again!

1. I wrote a check for one amount (AOS & EAD and AP). Not a problem USCIS cashed it. I was advised to do this by a Immigration Lawyer.

However most people write indivdual checks for the different processes and that's fine also. Just make sure you get the amounts right otherwise they will return the application.

2. Personal checks are fine. Money orders / Bankers drafts are fine.

You can combine the AOS fee and the biometrics fee into one cheque -- you only pay for biometrics once, you aren't charged for the EAD biometrics.

I sent separate cheques, since they are separate forms, but that's just me.

If you use personal cheques, make sure you sign them (speaking from personal experience here! :P )

Personal checks are best. That way you get to see when they get cashed.

About the correct amounts- I do not want my papers returned for writing the check for too much..or too little! Here is what I have:

fingerprinting- $70

I-485 - $325

I-765 - $180

I-131 - $170

Having my husband here, legally with his green card? PRICELESS!

Are the above fees correct? If so I should be sending in a check for $745....right? Thanks for the help!
