Please Help,

We have approved I-129F Petition (NOA2) currently doing medical 2nd day of medical is scheduled for today. Interview date at U.S. Embassy in Manila is set for March 17, 2016. We just scheduled CFO Guidance and Counseling Seminar without K-1 Visa because my fiancées interview date comes later.

Now I’m reading about R&R PDOS on the CFO website which states you must have your K-1 Visa in hand to attend this seminar.

Can someone please explain the differences of the two and what steps we should take in order to get the damn stamp that will be affixed to my fiancée’s visa which will allow her to board a plane when coming to USA? Does my fiancée also have to schedule the R&R PDOS seminar after K-1 is approved?

You have two choices:

1. Complete the CFO seminar before the embassy interview, and return to the CFO after you receive the visa in order to get the CFO stamp affixed to the passport. (Or, you can get the stamp at the CFO desk at NAIA.)

2. Complete the CFO seminar after you receive the visa and get the CFO stamp affixed to the passport on the same day.

As I said, we have already scheduled the CFO Seminar before the Embassy Interview, I'm aware we can return to get the sticker.

Question is how many seminars must my fiancee attend?

What is the R&R / PDOS seminar? do we need to attend this one too?

K-1 fiancee visa attend GCP not PDOS. You do not need the visa in hand to attend CFO, you only need the visa to get the sticker in your passport.

Thanks again Hank;

That is the most confusing site at the CFO. OK then, I guess were good to go; we are already scheduled for the GCP on March 9, 2016 and Emabssy Interview on March 17, 2016. The GCP Seminar is the only requirement other than returning for the stamp after K-1 Visa Is approved.

Gotcha! Thanks for not complicating a very basic question, hehe LOL

You only need to attend one seminar, the GPC. http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2341:what-is-cfo-guidance-and-counseling-program&catid=110:frequently-asked-questions&Itemid=858 Edited by Tahoma
