Pay Stub Amount

When I sent my fiancee the paper work for interview (whenever I can afford it), I sent a month's worth of pay stubs. Now she is telling me I needed to send more. The pay stubs are online and I already paid $200 to send her the package of all paperwork. I can screen shoot them and she can find someone to print them for her. Only choice as I have no money. So my question is if more pay stubs really needed or not? I can not find official statement on how many are and do not want her to be short of any. So I guess I am just going to screenshot a bunch, but how far back do I go?

Mine were online in pdf form. I just gave my fiance 3 months worth of stubs. We were together at the time so we just webt to a print shop and printed them out. You could easily do the same, just enail the pdf or screenshot to your fiance

Send her pdf copies of your pay stubs. Cost for you=$0. Cost for her should be very low too to print out the PDFs.

I don't know why you'd need to send more than a month's worth anyway. As long as they're very recent, you should be good to go.

Make your fiancée comfortable: email her as many pay stubs as she wants, even though the embassy won't need them.

You only need to send one original document with your signature, and that is the I-134. Doesn't cost that much to send one sheet of paper. Then you can email a copy of your most recent tax return and W2 - as required in the embassy instructions letter. Pay stubs are secondary and not required, but are good if you are working a new job.

You can email the pay stubs to your fiancee. Cost...$0. No harm in being overly prepared, or making her comfortable with what she's has for the interview.

All that was already sent with all other paper work, costing me almost $200. I will just take screen shots and she will have to have someone with access to a computer and printer to email and print them for her if she wants.

As others have stated you should just email them over to her. They aren't needed for the interview, but if they will help make her more comfortable, send them over. All you need for the interview employment wise is the I-134 with accompanying IRS Tax Transcripts.

But there is something else I am curious about. Her interview is right around the corner, you are so stressed about the $200 it cost you to send her the documents. Once her interview is complete, and she will be approved. You will then have to budget her flight to the US (Unless you plan to make her pay for that), You then need to pay for her I-485, and her I-765 (if she plans to work), Plus the marriage license, and for the I-131 if she plans to travel and visit her family anytime before she receives her temporary or permanent green card.

Marriage License - $60

I-485 - $1070

I-765 - $380

I-131 - $360

Basically you have almost $2000 in expenses that you will need to budget for that are fast approaching. I recommend speaking with a financial adviser for advice on planning for the future. You will have a wife now, and soon a family to come.

There isn't any.

I only sent about four pay summaries, plus had an employer's letter.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Actually no cost for the AP and EAD if filed with or after the AoS. So i think around $1200 is a bit more accurate regarding those expenses. But still not cheap.

Fair enough, but still a hard point to meet if one is struggling with $200.
