CFO Session in 2016

Hello,

My wife and I are getting close to this process hopefully being finished. Our baby is due in June and we are hoping to get to the USA as soon as possible. we just submitted our DS-260 today and I made our interview for early March. Hopefully we will do St. Lukes next week.

The problem we are contemplating is this CFO counseling requirement. CFO now requires appointments and I do not know if this is going to hold us up. I would hate to go through everything and get the visa and then find out we cannot get the cfo stamp for another month because we cannot get an appointment.

Has anyone else been through this requirement recently? How long did it take to get an appointment?

Thanks!

Your wife can attend the CFO GCP seminar even without a visa. Register now to check the available dates. They have daily appointments anyway so I'm pretty sure you can get a March slot.

Registration takes less than 10 minutes to complete.

Thanks,

We already did the registration but we did not get the email yet.

I know we can attend first but then we will have to come back anyways after the visa to get the stamp. We are not so close to the CFO office and my wife is pregnant so the less travel the better. Would be great to get this done around the same time we go to St Lukes.

Thanks for the help,

Rich

Appointments usually run 2-4 weeks out. If you want the easiest route to take, I suggest she get the CFO out of the way and return after to get the sticker attached to the passport. When you return there is no appointment necessary. You just walk in the door with your certificate and passport and they will attach it to the PP.
