Hey everyone, I recently ordered the forms to begin the AOS and just want to make sure I ordered the right ones. A bit of background info first:

- I came here on tourist visa in 2007 and overstayed. Not my initial intention, but circumstances took me down that road.

- I married in August 2015 to USC.

We still are unsure whether to use a lawyer or do it ourselves, so here's the forms I got:

I-130

I-485

G-325

I-765

I-864

I-693

I'm not applying for a travel document because I have no plans or need of traveling while in the process. Also, we live in my husband's parents' house, so we don't have a lease/mortgage or utility bills to our name. Will that be a problem in our case? Since I don't work my husband can't afford a place on his own right now, especially in the area of California where we are.

All help is appreciated but I would also like to hear from other people who overstayed their tourist visas and went through this process. I need all the help you can kindly give. Thank you!

yeah i was SOOO worried about overstay and it didnt even come u once in the interview lol you will be fine!!!

I dont think you should do the AP because of the Overstay.. so you have to just wait until you get the GC to leave

What country are you from? they really just care that the marriage is entered in good faith.. pictures with family/friends is better then just pictures you 2.. i had no lease or bill in my name ... you can have a joint cell phone bill or joint car insurance that wuld work.

Thank you so much! I am from Mexico. We dated and have lived together for four years before our wedding. We have many pictures with his family. We're going to go to the bank to add me on his account and then add me on his car insurance as well. Glad to hear you had no problems. I hope it goes well for us.

Are the forms I have correct?

Also this may be a silly question but should I translate the first page of my passport? It comes with three languages, Spanish/English/French. Just wondering.

Follow the guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2

You should also apply for AP at the same time, even if you have no travel plans. Something may come up necessitating you travel. The INA 212 overstay bars do not apply to someone with a valid AP and a pending I-485, per Matter of Arrabally.

I was out of status for just over ten years; it wasn't brought up at my interview.

Thank you. I actually ordered the forms after following the guide. I just wanted to make sure that I do in fact need to file I-130 with all the other forms because some people don't have to file it.

I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me about my passport question.

If you entered on a B-2 tourist visa, you need an I-130.
