Well, I'm not saying it does not happens, but wonder where you get these facts from. I'm just saying I feel pretty confident about our case and that's all it matters to us. I appreciate your kindly support and words, however, my faith is with God Almighty. I'm not worried at all.

Having faith is one thing. However, God has zero to do with visa approvals.

Guayaquil has apparently improved since my contemporaries were completely hosed there. See this thread:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/110313-us-consulate-in-guayaquil-ecuador/

and read the most recent reports.

Take NO chances -- the Amcit petitioner should be on the consular premises or closely within range during the beneficiary's interview.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

There's a lot of bona fide couples with lots of evidence that gets denied at high fraud country embassies.

That is absolutely true and you mentioned somewhere here that there is no discrimination. there is . Although migration to the US is not one's right but a privilege but being from a high fraud country in spite of presenting a good clean case. people are being discriminated against. i am not bringing in any racial flavor in here but that is how it goes. i have seen people being treated like 'numbers' ''animals' in one of the US missions abroad. I love America and i know everyone be it from a rich country want to come and a live here.

well, do not take it literally. i was talking about the majority. you tell me who would not want to live in this country ?

I would gladly move back to Canada. My husband's job keeps us here. Is what it is.

If you mean people from 3rd world countries, then yes, many would like to move to any country where they have more opportunity. Im sure there are some that like their life though and would not.

Well, we can agree to disagree on this one. To me, God has everything to do in everything. I'm not trying to convince you, please don't try to convince me. This is just me voicing my opinion and my faith is placed someplace else.

So, if God has nothing to do with visa approvals, and bona-fide, legit, solid evidenced-cases neither, what does it take to get a fiance visa approved? Pure luck? The CO mood of the day? Please enlight me, I'm listening.

Now come on , when we can't have any factual discussion or can't find an answer, we tend to bring in GOD. how would you define your fate/luck ? whatever god decides ? personally, i have no answer for how one's luck works. if it works it works. i am not going to start a debate on GOD on this forum. that can be discussed somewhere else. i personally am a believer of destiny/ luck. A good/genuine immigration case is a surety for approval is bull (i know several people with super clean and impressive immigration cases that never got thru and also some dodgy ones who are in this country all settled and flourishing). For me and my experiences its all about your luck. the things i said my not be populist but i can say them right ?

1. God has nothing to do with visa approvals

2. bona-fide, legit, solid evidenced-cases

3. what does it take to get a fiance visa approved?

4. The CO mood of the day?

1. No one or anything can overcome "the doctrine of consular nonreviewability."

2. This is the start.

3. See 2., and add a completely honest, open in-person interview. COs are "human lie-detectors." In Guayaquil, add the petitioner's presence on the consular premises.

4. Optimally not, but sometimes. COs are supposed to approach IV interviews with a neutral mindset.

Search and read all posts by the member HFM181818, a retired CO. Nearly every one is an education in itself.
