I-864 No provable income, only assets ok to be sponsor?

I'm American and want to move from China to the US with my Chinese wife. I'm a musician and rarely if ever have any reportable income from W2s and 1099s. I have filed taxes for the last 10 years although the salary has been below the poverty level. I won't have a recognized job in the US, no provable past salary, but have about USD200K in my US bank account. I'd prefer not to ask my dad for help as I'm 34 years old and this shouldn't concern him. Can I be my wife's only sponser and just use my bank account as proof?

Yes.

You would need to show ~$60,000 in assets (assuming you have no children or other dependents), so with $200,000 in liquid assets it should not be an issue.

The I-864 instructions cover sponsoring using assets. Check those out.

Basically, for a spouse, they'll want to see 3 x 125% of poverty level for your household size (see I-864P). Since you have cash in the US, that means no worries on needing to appraise anything or whether the embassy/consulate will accept assets held in a foreign country.
