is it worth calling the USCIS and asking for an extention on the RFE time limit?

or, if i send documents back to them but not everything they asked for will i get another RFE with another 3 month period to reply or will they close my case?

doing AOS.

Don't do it with AOS you have one shot. They don't do extensions. Get what they ask for in the time so they don't deny you keep your money and you have to refile.
