Probably not a very smart question I need to ask. I am in the process of sending off our ROC evidence and documentation. I am sending everything but the kitchen sink. Everything is about 5 to 6 inches thick, and maybe 4 to 5 pounds in weight. I will need t mail it probably in a postal service box. My question, the mailing address for the California service office is a PO Box, if my package will not fit in the PO Box will the post office send it back to me, or is there a physical office they will deliver it to. I am sending a lot of evidence to avoid an RFE and interview so my packet is two years of accumulation. Again it will be about 5 inches thick and very heavy, will they still deliver it to a PO Box if it will not fit inside. Stupid question, hoping someone has an answer. Thank you

Think about it. Would USCIS have a single, "residential-sized" literal box for ALLLLL of the applications they will receive? Do you really believe that packages are sent to a small box one at a time with any single package filling up all the space?

I am not being rude. :) Really, think about it. There is no way we can know for sure what their receiving department looks like but do you think they would have a small box for the large number of applications they receive daily? Wouldn't it be more likely that they can accommodate lots of packages (possibly hundreds) that in total weight/volume are much larger than your single box?

You are sending far too much evidence. Think about it, someone is going to have to scan, file and then read through every page you submit. You need to cut way back on the evidence you send. My I-751 form and evidence all fit into a normal sized priority envelope and was approved without an RFE.

Thanks Lainie, but I will take my chances, I look at it this way, it is better to over provide, then to neglect sending something they really want to look at. Maybe, I am sending some things that might be irrelevant, but I will leave that up to them to make that decision.

Thanks for the advice. My wife and myself dont have a lot of material things in our life, I am retired and she is working as a Nursing assistant. So we dont have a lot of joint assest to provide them such as a home, property or real estate, 401K's, etc., so our mailings that have come to us in our names and our addresses and auto insurance, joint auto loan and , life insurance, and Joint car ownership, and a few credit cards with both of us as authorized users. So, I am trying to show this agency that our marriage is bonafide and trying to do my best to send things, maybe some are irrelevant , but they can make that decision. Thanks again

Send what you feel is necessary and don't worry about it fitting in the PO Box. That won't be an issue. If you haven't already finished putting it together, here are the guidelines from USCIS.

Good luck!

My work has a P.O. Box, but its actually a huge box. Its not a regular sized one. Anything that doesn't fit gets held for us. The Post Office puts a card saying to pick up at the desk.

I think you probably sent a bit much, but you shouldn't be worried about the size. Its the quality.

My husband and I just sent in what fit inside a padded, plastic, large envelope. We sent in the strongest evidence at the front of the pile, with a good amount of supplementary paperwork at the back. I think our pile was about an inch thick, and we included some pictures. Ours was approved :) I don't think they are gonna base their decisions on the amount of stuff you send in. They want to see good, strong evidence.
