Hello everyone! My US fiance just told me that he has joint bank account with his mother. On the US embassy website in Moscow it says they want bank statement so when my fiance got his statement it says on it that it's joint (and his and his mom's name on it). Will that be a problem in embassy?

P.S. My US fiance is self-employed and doesn't have W-2 and 1099 form, only 1040 and 1040 schedule C.

It may cause issues, not certain though. The ability to support you should be on his own, unless of course he is using his mother as a joint sponsor, in which case she would have to prove she could support you on her own.

That said, bank account do not really mean anything unless there are issues proving income.
