We have most of those documents though we do not have police clearances, only the nbi.

Yes we did the g325s. Those are required for the petition.

We do not have anything notarized. What kind of affidavit from the joint sponsor? It is definitely not required but it sure couldn't hurt.

The list of things you listed before for proof of marriage and co-habitation had me wondering.

I've read "police clearance"?

I gave our NBI's with the G-325's but will also bring both the originals and copies to our interview with other mentioned clearances.

Your I-864 from your co-sponsor has to have an original signature, not a copy.

Also as I mentioned before if your plan is to live (domicile) with your joint sponsor when you arrive in the US you'll need a I-864a and that one I have read needs to be notarized by the joint sponsor and signed by you in front of a consulate official.

Follows an Affidavit made by my brother, a US attorney to be used a a cover sheet. I have generalized it.

AFFIDAVIT

COMES NOW, (joint sponsors name) stating under oath the following to be submitted to the USCIS for any lawful purpose.

My name is (joint sponsor). I live at (address). I am sui juris and competent to know the consequences of giving a false statement.

I filed state and federal income tax for the year (????).

I am retired from, or employed at (place of employment) and I receive a total annual in come of ($$$$$).

(Date and signature of joint sponsor)

Notarized

9/26/2012 Met On-line

10/18/2012 Met at the Airport, Manila

1/8/2014 Married

2/17/2016 Filed I-130 DCF Manila

2/26/2016 NOA 2 "Approved"

3/14/2016 Medical Started

3/15/2016 Medical Completed

3/22/2016 Interview, Passed

3/28/2016 Visa status IR-1 "Issued"

3/31/2016 "Processed for delivery" / 2GO "In Transit"

4/1/2016 Delivered / Visa in hand..

Where did you read that the I864a has to be notarized? I do not see anything requiring that or an affidavit. It probably could not hurt though.

For the affidavits we submitted they asked for a copy of the id to be included.

With all I've researched I don't remember, DoS, USCIS Manila, or elsewhere??

I do remember thinking is was credible and took a screen shot for my records to remember but I don't have a URL.

You might try Google or go without..

Since I'm having the affidavit notarized it's just one more paper, but the only 2 of all I will notarize.

Not sure why the jpeg is so small above but if you click on the gray line it will expand.

Sorry I couldn't be more help with this.

That may not be needed for dcf. I will check but I am in the Philippines now and co sponsor is in the USA. So I hope it is not required. I did go back to the US a couple months ago and we filled everything out but no notary.

##According to this site it does not need to be notarized.

Scroll down to the Joint Sponsor section.

Apparently I cannot post links. or upload an image unless hosted externally. :(

It says this:

Make sure that the form is signed. The petitioner signs in family immigrant cases. The relative signs in employment-based cases. The form does NOT have to be notarized. Sponsor must sign the form, even if a joint sponsor also submits an I-864 to meet the income requirement. However, when you sign the form, under penalty of perjury, you certify that all the information and the documents provided are true and correct.

I am not sure if I should start a new thread..Let me know.

Regarding the ds260. I just need the confirmation letter?

Regarding the Cr1 documents, There are many things we already submitted with the petition, do we need to resubmit those?

It is best after the approval of the i-130 to think of it as starting over. Do not assume that they will have something you have already sent.

OMG, More problems.

My wife went to the municipality today to get the original no cenomar and was told ours is expired and we have to go to Lipa to get another one. Our interview is early next week.

I believe we already gave them the cenomar when we filed the petition.. I do not know how long it takes to get this thing but it may hold up everything for us.

It usually take 2-3 weeks to get that so I suggest do it now and see if they can expedite it if not you might need to re-schedule your interview..

My wife told me that the municipality told her she doesn't need it because we are married. They told her that the k1 visa required it.

At any rate we have the expired one that proves my wife wasn't married until we got married.

How would we even get a proof of non marriage anyways when we've been married since June?
