@DaveShep Thanks for the clarification. It has been a while since we went through the process, but if I'm remembering correctly, it stated to give some time from the date of the medical exam & the interview so that if for some reason you'd need to repeat something at the medical, you'll have enough time to do so and to receive the final results. They may be doing things differently now than before as far as processing results go, but I don't think my husband came home with his results that same day. I believe they made him come back the next day and thankfully, he was cleared & didn't have to repeat anything or take any additional steps.

Hi Guys,

Is it possible to change the information in DS-260 after submitting it? My husband quit his job and got a new job and we want to update the DS260 to write this.

Thanks!

Does a rental lease need to be notarized? And I have lived at a couple different places and have the leases for both of them and the address on my acr card is the address for the first place I stayed, will that be a problem? And we just got a lease for the place we are staying at now after asking for one for four months and the address is different than the address the guard told us and my wife and I already got id's with that address. So I have two id's with different addresses and a lease with a different address from any of the id's.

I am USC divorce Filipina. I am trying to get my fiancé in the Philippines but the consul during the interview did not convince with our relationship. I am planning to cancel the petition, it is under Administrative Processing. I found out this thread about DCF and wants to go to this route. We are planning to get married in Hongkong and file DCF. But my worries are, I am not a dual citizen but I have a house in Manila which will show my residency. Another question, I am scared that I am still married in the Philippine Law but went to get married in HK, they will run my CEMAR and find out. Would that be a problem? My fiancée medical will expired on May 2. And I am planning to go on March in the Philippines and get married in HK and stay there for the whole process until we got approved. I hope this time the consul will convince about our relationship... Please help me what is the best thing to do.. I really wanna be with my fiancé..

Jane

No sis. My baby is a USC through CRBA.

Hi Lhanz0729. So did you get your baby a Philippine passport as well as a U.S. passport?  I was just curious because you mentioned getting exit clearances for you husband and your child.

I've heard of some people in our situation that only got their child a U.S. passport, and during immigration at the airport, they were forced to pay for the total "visa overstay" of the child because they considered the child a U.S. citizen only.  Doesn't make sense to me since the child was born in the Philippines and is half Filipino.

I plan on getting my child a Philippine passport also, so I wouldn't think I would need an exit clearance for her too.  Just me.  Do you know if that's correct?

2 months (65 days) from petition filing to Visa in hand.  Total cost of $1,575 including daughters CRBA and US Passport (not including plane tickets & hotels in Manila)  I spent a total of $2,235 including plane tickets and hotels.  The visa agencies I looked at before starting this process, quoted me around $2,500 total, but not including my daughters CRBA and passport, plane tickets, hotels, and Philippine passports.  So in my opinion, it was well worth the journey.  It was about a 4 month journey for me  including the research and preparation before I started, but still worth it to me.  Thanks everyone here for all of the help along the way.  I couldn't have done it without you.
