Can I ask? what is 325 A? and does my husband has to go with me to file the I-130? He is not well enough to fly to Manila, for he is still recuperating from being sick. Thank you so much in advance

Visited USEM two weeks ago with my husband. The lady who attended us checked our papers, she said everything is good except one, we need to provide more documents showing my residency in the country (PH). The only documents we brought was a contract of lease for our condo and my Tourist ACR Card, apparently not enough to convince them that I've been staying here for a year now. We are planning to go back to USEM after we gather other documents that can show I've been staying in the country (bank certificate, utility bills, membership cards from malls/grocery stores). Just sharing our experience as it might help others. Thanks and Good luck to all.

If your husband is the USC then he needs to go.. 325A is bioform that you guys need to submit during the application.

Here's also an idea of how much you'll be spending for the process.

$420 - to file

$325 - to be paid during interview

11,300 php - medical at st. Lukes

Then some other expenses like hotels and transpo.

For the interview we've prepared AOS and supporting documents, marriage cert, CEMAR which we will get on tuesday, proof of relationship, NBI clearance and other certificates from NSO. We also printed out of appointment confirmation and stuff we received from IV through e-mail.

We set our interview end of this month, when is yours?

Have you created an account online to set your appointment and delivery address for the visa?

Hi Lhanz0729, the CEMAR that you prepared, what is it and how did you obtain it? Is it different from marriage certificate? The consular asked for CENOMAR of my husband when we applied for dcf in USEM. I am confused why they would ask for CENOMAR since my husband is already married (to me). is there a way to get Cenomar for a married person in the philippines? thank you!

Jannandie, I'm not Lhanz0729 but USEM-PI wants you to obtain a CENOMAR again after you're married to prove that your Marriage is registered with the NSO. It's no longer called CENOMAR, but "Adivsory on Marriages".

Hi Lhanz0729,

For the AOS, what did you husband attach with the AOS paper? We applied for DCF last friday and the application was accepted, I read in this thread that we will need to bring the AOS with us to the interview and I am worried that I cannot provide document we need for the AOS because I have been living in the Philippines since 2015 and I did not work in US in the past years. My husband's sister who is a permanent resident in US is willing to be a joint sponsor, since I don't think I can provide the documents we might need for the AOS do you think it's better if his sister be the main sponsor instead?

Thanks in advance.

As the petitioner you still need to prepare i-864 with a letter explaining why you didn't file taxes. Then have your sister in-law be the joint sponsor by preparing an i-864 too

If I remember correctly, you'll need to complete your DS-260 online first. Once you receive confirmation that they received it, you print out that confirmation page as you'll need to show that once you do your medical at St. Luke's. Your interview date should be at least 2-3 weeks AFTER your medical exam so it gives you time to receive your results, & if for some reason you need to repeat something, you'll still have enough time.

Best wishes!

Does anyone know if I can schedule the interview without filling out the DS 260 form just yet?

Effective Oct. 1, 2016 the price for medical exams at St. Luke's is now 16,042.50 pesos for most visa immigrant visas, US visas being one of them. This is because they've added mandatory gonorrhea testing for all visa immigrant applicants 15 years of age & older.

Hello everyone, just wanted to ask, do I need to get a CENOMAR or my husband? Even we got married in the States and already have our marriage certificate from the US? We didn't register our marriage here in the Philippines, I wonder if it's needed to apply for DCF. Thank you

The same with us. We got married in the US also, three weeks ago, and neither of us is Filipino. So even less relevant in our case we figured.

Called the Embassy several times. Never got a clear answer, - "Submit a letter explaining why you cannot get a CENOMAR" - they said.

When we filed the petition the person said "Good to have the CENOMAR."

So, my advice - Just get them. In single name and married name, and be SURE that you are covered.

@joemelea

There is no need to allow 2-3 weeks after the medical for the interview. Absolutely not!

At St. Lukes you will get the required medical packet handed to you after the second day, normally, unless you have some real medical issue.

So, you can schedule your interview for right after the second day.

Cancel it and make another one IF and ONLY IF you need to do so.
