Hello,

I am lucky enough to have found the woman of my dreams. We met here in the US. She went back to Mexico in April of 2014. We got married in Mexico City November of this last year. I am filling out the I-130 and 2 G-325a's. I wasn't sure how to get her copy of the G-325a signed so I had her print it out in Mexico then she is going to fill it out and mail it to me. First off is that the correct way to do that? If so and after all that is done and I finish getting our packet of things together and mail it out to Chicago, is it just a waiting game after that? Also will we both have to go to the interview in Juarez or will it just be my wife? It seems like I hvae a million questions but this is what I have so far. Thank you all in advance. If I left anything out that you may need to help me please ask and I will do my best to get you the information.

I am new here and will also marry a Mexican citizen. The only question that I can answer for you is that only your wife will have to go to the interview in Juarez. Good luck to you and your wife.

Hi, I can answer at least one of these based on my experiences.

About the G-325a that is what I did with my now-husband (came over on a k-1). I sent moneygram for him to pay for 2 day shipping with UPS and he sent 4 copies with his wet/original signature (cuz you never know how many you might need).

After you send your packet, it is a waiting game until you get that second notification from USCIS that says "approved your petition, sending it on to NVC"

To be safe, check with other people who have dealt with the Juarez embassy to see if you are able to go to the interview. I went with my dude when the time came (but that's an entirely different country)

Hope this info was at least a little helpful : )

Good luck on your visa journey!

You should go to Juarez to be on the safe side.In my case my wife was at the interview and I was waiting outside. My wife came out with a paper allowing me entry because the officer wanted to interview me to see if I gave same answers as my wife.If I was not there we would not have got the K-1.It is rare but It does happen.

I am wondering if this is the best way to get my wife back here? She is currently in Mexico. We got married in November. We are doing the I-130 and G-325a. Is this correct or do we need to apply for a Visa first? I am going to Mexico on Sunday is there anything I should do while down there?

I have a question about my I-130 form that I am filling out. My wife was here for awhile and did work. While she was here she was undocumented and was working. She has since been in Mexico for almost 2 years. My question is on the I-130 it asks about employment for the last 5 years. I am not sure how to answer that quesiton. Not that I want to lie but I am wondering because she hasn't worked for 2.5 years because I have been supporting her.

so basically fill it out as it happened?

Yep
