I-130: My husband and I filed papers may of 2015 for him to come to the USA after we got married April of 2015. The last bit of information we got from California was to send more proof of marriage. We sent in photos of us together and of our marriage ceremony. 5 months was our "Processing Time".. obviously its been more than that. I went online to request more information multiple times and each time it says to pretty much "keep waiting," that they cant give us a timeline of when to expect an answer. Then in july 2015 I sent in the k-3 which is outside normal processing times as well.. hoping to speed the process. it hasn't changed anything. I just went back to Morocco in January 2016 and was thinking to send in more pictures to see if that would help speed up the process? Also any advice on any other documents I can send in to help him come here faster?

(I sent in everything they asked and haven't had an update since july 2015 (to send more proof).)

Any tips are much appreciated. Thank you.

hi

the k3 is almost obsolete, if it is approved, it will be closed at the NVC stage and you will continue with the i130 and consular processing

My husband and I got married and after I sent in the papers for immigration I didn't change my last name. I figured it might make problems with the case and ill have to send it totally new ones and start the process over. Now after waiting 9 months for approval and still no answer.. I'm thinking to change my name on my social, bank accounts, cards, drivers license, etc not only to help him come here faster- but because i've wanted to this whole time just don't know if I can.. or should.

Is this a good idea? or too late in the process where I should wait until after he is approved (Hopefully if he is)

Any advice helps! Thanks!

Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? I think Ive sent them all I can. But I don't know if there is a specific document I cant fill out for this situation?

Thank you.

It takes as long as it takes. If we had the magic answer on how to speed this process up then we would not be here waiting.

We are all waiting to be with our husbands and wives. No one is enjoying this.

Thank you.

Nothing you can do to speed it up. More than likely you are stuck in background checks or security checks. It takes as long as it takes. No amount of evidence you send (not asked for) will speed things along. If they want it they will ask you for it. Sorry.
