Dual Nationality question

Just need advice on this:

I am in the process of adjusting status, having entered the US with the k-1 visa.

I lived in the United Kingdom for more than 20 years, literally, all my adult working life, but never naturalized as a British citizen. I went through the K1 visa process, and the British naturalization simultaneously. I did receive the K1 visa first using my home/birth passport, during the process. I did receive my British passport a few months later.

When I entered the US with the K1 visa, the secondary CBP officer questioned me about how long I had lived in England, and why I never naturalised, as I was using a different passport. I had this same question from the CO at the US emabassy, and I always get that question from CBP officers, or UK immigration officers. I showed the CBP officer my British passport, and the officer added some notes on to the Customs form I completed.

My question is, I want to use my British passport for the AOS and the remainder of the process. Will that be a problem?

When completing the I485 form, I plan on adding British as nationality. I have to send in my home/birth passport details, as it contains my K-1 visa.

Will this cause problems in the AOS process?

If you're from Scotland or Wales, that's pretty common. Not quite sure how you have a British passport without being a British citizen though, please provide more details.

I doubt it will cause problems for AOS because they always ask what other nationalities you hold, so they have seen it all, it won't stop you from AOS here

I went through the naturalization process together with my K-1 visa process.

So in response to your question, I am a naturalized British citizen.

Not sure what the Scotland or Wales angle is about.

You first said that you "never naturalized as a British citizen" and then you said you did the process at the same time, so it was a bit confusing whether you did or did not. Sorry for the confusion

Maybe I worded it wrong. I never naturalized during the first 20+ years of my life in the Uk, but I have now naturalised, whilst going through the K-1 visa process.

In all honesty I don't think what you're asking is relevant, i.e when I became a Brirish Citizen. I just wanted someone's advice on whether introducing a different nationality further down the process will create any problems

And I answered you that it won't and I also never asked WHEN you became a British citizen. I said I was confused and I apologized.
