Why not friend them all?

Nooooooooo! Don't do that, because then he will hide those profiles from public view and her friend will NEVER see them! Screen shot them, email the links and let her peek too!

Or.... you make a catfishy profile yourself. :P:devil::idea: Of course only let the friend take a peek if there's some serious hardcore evidence... else she'll toss that out just as quickly as the rest of the advice she's getting as to why this man is bad for her.

''Oh no my three profiles was one I made in my youth when I was deeply in love with young American woman that broke my heart many moons ago, the other is one I have now, and the other was one I made and forgot my password and locked myself out! You've got to believe me babe..!" You can just think of the excuses. They aren't exclusive excuses to foreign scammy males either.

..or in the interest of not doing anything illegal, hire a private investigator.

Obviously you save anything that can be changed or deleted.

PHilippines has PI's who specialise in investigating prospective spouses, you would have thought there would be something similar for here, obviously a demand.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I am imagining the two others he must have. One for his family and colleges where he is posting pious "wholesome" memes (the ones his sisters tell their friends who want to marry about) and videos and the other one that he has with his real running buddies. Lol! What a shame!

I've been thinking about it a little more and there's another possibility I thought of. She is willingly going along with this guy getting his green card. She understands he wants it, and that doesn't bother her. She thinks they're still going to just date, get to know each other, and she gets to go to Morocco to visit, and who knows maybe it'll work out.

She seems to have the attitude like she is just helping someone in need. That would explain the secrecy too - she doesn't want anyone to know they're married, because she doesn't think its real either.

But she is still being naive. She doesn't get this guy was probably willing to use her or any other woman to get his green card. He could still be a predator after her money. And even if you like someone at the beginning of a relationship doesn't mean she won't hate him at the end. We've all been there with a guy.

I think this would explain why she's read some of the horror stories and doesn't seem alarmed.

if you want to check out his facebook, definitely would need a fake profile of your own, because he will recognize you if you friend him as yourself and that stuff will disappear or even worse he will tell your friend that you friended him on facebook and etc etc.

Also, are ya gonna name and shame? Sorry couldn't resist

I don't know why there isn't some sort of website or database with suspect people. I guess its because you could defame someone out of spite. Seems like there should be some way to make it work.

You can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved. OP, you provided/gave your input to your friend, but the more you mingle in their business that friend won't be one.

Wow. Women do this all the time. Pretty much 100% of the time... try to get married to the man in hopes of a better life. So what if a man wants to get married and hopes to live a better life in the USA with his wife!

I just don't like people holding double standards. Esp now with all kinds of gender equality being fought so hard for. However with that said, I will mention the tiny doubt in my mind that this post is at all authentic. I've been on the internet too long and I've seen a few too many things.

Because the government officials in charge of this process are more adept at identifying fraud and scams than the average American is. Plus, 80% of pending international marriages would be reported... by meddling xenophobic aunties, to jealous ex-wives, to suspicious and overprotective friends, to jealous neighbors in the foreign country just looking to keep someone from moving up in the world, to people who don't believe in interracial or intercultural marriages (again, from either country).

I'm not sure how many times I have to explicitly state that if all is as bad as it sounds, they don't stand a very good chance at all of getting a visa. There's a good amount of built in protection, especially in high fraud countries. They don't need your input.

So what are you going to try to protect her from? A broken heart? Embarrassment? Who to you call to protect her from that?

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
