Hello everyone,

i was told that alot of experts are here to post my concerns to.

well, i had an interview today for my case K-1 fiance visa and the two gentelmen interviewed me told me by the end of the interview that am not convincing to them?!!

what does that mean, they didn't give me any paper stating that am rejected and they haven't returned my passport to me. and i have submitted all the paperwork that they needed,

what next? am i going to get rejected cause am not convincing to them? and if i did get rejected is it going to be stamped on my passport, can we have another round again afterward?

i would appreciate any help or any words on this regard

thank you

With which Consulate were you interviewing?

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

The fact that they kept your passport is usually a good sign because they need it to add your visa to it... If you were denied then they have no need for it.....

Do you mean if they would reject me they would give me my passport?

when i asked them whether i am getting rejected they said they don't know but they have to discuss things first and they wil let me know!

if they are going to reject me based on not convincing then will my passport get stamped a rejection?

am sorry if am asking too much but am just not in a real cool down sitatuion

thank you

Did they take your passport and keep it? How many fingerprints did you submit? This embassy is like in Pakistan and they could of put your case on AR/AP and did not give you any type of forms. This does happen and it depends on the CO.

If they kept your passport it is a good thing since they are doing a field investigation and once they are satisifed with the results and the security checks have come back cleared they will contact you to give you a decison on your visa application.

If you only gave two index prints it is regular checks and if you had to submit 10 prints it means your name had a hit in one of the many data bases.

You can email the embassy or contact DOS and see what the status of your case is. In any case if they have put you in AR/AP all the consulate or operator will say is the case is in AR/AP and it has no time limit and they will not divulge any information to you until they are ready to proceed with your case.

Good luck.

Mary

If they are rejecting you they have no need for your passport and it will be returned. If they reject you they will tell you why (though the explanation might be vague).

If they need more evidence they will give you a 221g and ask for more evidence so you can convince them.

I have no idea if they place a mark in your passport or not, I highly doubt it.....

Did you get the 221g? What is the wording on it?

There is a pinned section in the Middle East/North Africa forum on how to deal with petitions that are rejected at the embassy here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showforum=97

But since they kept your passport, maybe the 221g is only askign for more documentation before the decision can be made?

I was not given a 221g form and they didn't ask for any further documents.

they did ask me for more documents after my first interview and i did give it to them, and thhen they scheduled another interview, this interview today and they didn't ask for any more documents

Your case is in field investigation or fraud unit more than likely. If they still have the passport that is a good sign since it means they are still working on your case.

am sorry, but one more thing,

what are the reasons to reject or deny a k-1 visa

thank you again

Many and varied reasons. First and foremost they must believe you have a true bonafide relationship. They can also deny if the USC is not financially capable.... Others will have there ideas as well....

YMMV

Broadcast,

When you are going thru certain embassies they scrutinize these facts more closely and they can deny the visa if they feel that either party is not being honest or have doubts on the validity of the relationship.

1. Age of the applicants? Big age gaps?

2. Have you met in person? How long is the history of the relationship?

3. Religion of the parties?

4. Does the family or families object to the marriage especially if the couple are of different, races, religions, or backgrounds?

4. Medical grounds that make them ineligible.

These are just some of the issues that the embassy looks at before the make a call on whether to ajudicate a visa or not.
