Hubby and I went to see Ghost Rider a few days ago.... It was ok, the special effects were really cool but they took so long to setting up the story that there wasn't much time for the actual story....

Then yesterday hubby and I went to see The Wild Hogs... That was one of the funniest movies that I have seen in awhile.. I haven't laughed so hard in a movie theater in a long time.....

I was worried that all the funny parts were already shown in the previews but there were funny parts throughout the whole movie... William H Macy was the funniest of all the 4 guys

I would recommend this movie if you want a good laugh

We saw "Wild Hogs" last week.... a lot of cliches, but very enjoyable. "Music & Lyrics" was great too. But don't bother to see "Because I Said So". Talk about boring..... and I was an 'on the fence' Dianne Keaton fan until this movie. Now, I simply don't like her...

I saw 300 at the weekend, having liked (for all its historical inaccuracies) Frank Miller's graphic novel.

I knew I was in trouble when the credits started rolling and the 13 year old in the row in front of me whispered to his friends that it was a 'George Bush movie'.

The demonisation of the Persians goes way above anything in the graphic novel, and for all the stylised and quite attractive visuals it is probably the most racist movie since Zulu.

The stuff they added to flesh out the story and make it more 'relevant' essentially boils down to "shall we send more troops".

I saw it also, I did not read the graphic novel though. It was ok, I guess. The visuals were great but I was not impressed very much with the acting or the plot. Leonidas? is constantly yelling about how superior the Trojans are and seems to have trouble enunciating when he gets excited. Movies are expensive! Nine bucks a ticket! Should have gone with that old fart motorcycle movie.

Saw Bridge To Terabithia with my 8 y/old nephew - was nice - sad though (w/out revealing too much) bring tissue if you have a soft heart.

Not as much of the fairyland characters as you'd think (based on what you see in the previews). Overall.. nice 'message' movie.

Of course the book is better am told (as usual).

I liked the visual style - all the backgrounds were CGI. They were trying to replicate the look of Lynn Varley's coloring.

Perhaps I'm too cynical about these things, but I find there's never any substance to the underlying subtexts, just pedestrian meditations on the nature of freedom and how it must be "bought with blood". None of that stuff (with the queen) was in the graphic novel BTW.
