That won't necessarily show up. More often than not, you will see no update on the tracking website until a decision is made on the file.

  • 4 months later...

To anyone who filed an I-129F after filing the I130: what people replied here months ago is totally false. Don't listen to them. Our I130 was approved but the I129F is still pending. This proves that the two petitions are not approved at the same time and that the I130 was not yanked out of the pile to be put back at the end of the line!!!

It's not totally false. But its possible for it to not happen as well. I can count on one hand the number of people trying for K3 like you but not on either hands nor toes for those who have had it the other way. It happens, but it's not common, at least not on VJ as per posts.

Also what is stated is because the USCIS has stated, in their policy and procedural changes updates, this is what they do. So if they deviate, that means your an exception not a norm. ;) Be happy to be an exception!

But hey, if you want to be angry about the fact that your I-130 went through first, like it was supposed to, by all means! Rage on! WEE!

We filed i130 may 2, then i129 may 30. Both are following the same updates and I don't believe it's hurt our case. Our rfe came June 17 and they have updated both to say received June 30
