I AM ASKING COZ WHEN I HADNT JOINED VJ THAT TIME I HD TO FILL MY G-325A FORM BEING TOTALLY IGNORANT MY HUSBAND HELPED ME OUT IN CERTAIN THINGS WHICH ARENT SO RIGHT BUT NOT WRONG ALSO REGARDING ADDRESS AND STUFFS

AND I HAVE POSTED THOSE ERRORS IN MY PREVIOUS POSTS

There is only the DS-230.

With your USC hubby as the agent, you can complete and sign the DS-230 which is the application for a visa and then mail it across to him along with any documents that are required. Thats what I did with mine as it saved mailing time. That way as soon as your hubby receives the DS-230 packet from NVC, he can put the barcoded sheet he receives in with the DS-230 that you completed and mail it off. If you are using Jame's shortcuts, you can generate the barcode (which contains your case number) which is on the cover sheet (details in the shortcuts) and send that to him as well. Then as soon as the DS-230 is generated your hubby would send off the entire package. Perhaps you would be best to go with the first suggestion, especially as you say, you don't quite understand what to do. You could risk delaying your process if you don't get the shortcuts right.

A person with a U.S. address is the best choice of agent, as the mail system is far more reliable than that of most countries. The "agent" handles the AOS fee payment, the IV fee payment, and they get all the instructional packages. Nothing too difficult. As for filling out the I-864 forms, I would suggest hiring a reputable immigration lawyer or public charity to do it if your husband is a few apples short of a barrel.

Hi,

It is vital for your USC spouse be the choice of agent. Since if you do not do that, it will add many months to the overall process. If NVC has to send documents to India, they will only send it by regular mail, and can take several weeks for you to receive it.

The USC spouse being the choice of agent will not have to do too much. The USC will receive the Immigration Visa fee bill for $380 which will need to be sent back. After that they will receive the DS230 form which needs to be filled out. For this you can have the USC print off 3/4 copies the DS230 form and send the blank form to you. You can then fill out the form, sign it (DO NOT DATE THE FORM - HAVE THE USC DO THAT BEFORE HE SENDS IT TO NVC) and send it back to your USC spouse. Please note that the DS230 is in 2 parts. NVC only needs PART 1 filled out and signed. You'll also need to send him photocopies of your passport to submit along with the Part 1. You can fill out and keep the PART 2 with you - DO NOT DATE OR SIGN PART 2.. YOU"LL NEED TO DO THAT DURING THE INTERVIEW.

so i decided to choose usc - in this case now

choosing myself will take ages for somethng which isnt so reasonable

i am not able to open the link you all have send me

also g-325a form i filled it with my own handwriting in royal blue ink

this for ds-230 should be in handink or computer printout
