I have interview today 2.17.2016 at Manila US Embassy.

I need to take my phone with me because my dentist will just squeezed my appointment on his tight schedule. And I don't wanna go back home just to get my phone back. And I don't wanna tell to my family I have interview because I don't wanna tell them, if I get deny. Which I wish will not happen.

So can they be trusted?

If you're speaking of the Embassy security staff having to hold your phone while you're in the interview, of course they can be trusted.

You can't take your phone into the interview, and people do forget and bring their phones anyway. There will be an area to leave the phone, with the security staff, at the entrance. Taking your phone with you will put you toward the end of any line to get in, however, so be aware of this.

You are wrong. The only people that can leave any type of electronics within the Manila embassy are US Citizens, Philippine Nationals can not bring in any type of electronics.

Yes, the vendors outside the embassy can be trusted to hold your phone for you while you are in the embassy. If I remember correctly the charge was 200 pesos for them to hold your phone.

Do not worry and be confident in your answers and everything will be fine. It is ok to be worried but be strong.

I stand corrected. My apologies.

Thank you guys!!!

Last question. Any cheap short time hotel around?

You have to check the Philippine forum for that. We stayed at a hotel that is maybe 15 minutes away from the embassy by taxi, but it was cheap like 2000 pesos a night. There are a number of other hotels around the embassy and the link is below for that post.

I went with my younger brother :-D and I passed. I almost give up that I will not make it. when the interviewer said "have a seat first and I will call you back again" and he started to interview the others. So he called me again and give me the good news. I clarified "you won't take back your decision? " He smiled and said "No, I wont take back my decision" thank you everyone

I received my passport with USA visa, together with seal documents today. but, attending GCP is requirement? Do I must attend? What if I don't? and is it OK to attend on July?

Yes CFO is a requirement by the Philippine government before you leave to immigrate to the USA. You will not be able to board the plane if you do not have it.

When are you going to immigrate to the USA and how long is your visa valid for?

Yup, required. Can't exit the Philippines without it.

July? (make sure to be in the USA before the expiration date noted on your visa) No issue, but why delay? Get it done.. get the sticker in your passport, remove the last obstacle.
